Beijing, December 29 (Reporter Yang Ziyan, Li Jie) The reporter learned from the Three Gorges Corporation that on the 29th, the country's first 10 million kilowatt large-scale wind and solar base project - Kubuqi Desert Ordos Central and Northern New Energy Base Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Kubuqi Base Project") The first phase of the pilot project photovoltaic project is connected to the grid at full capacity, which is expected to provide about 2 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity every year, save about 600,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.66 million tons. Construction of a follow-up project was also started on the same day.
The Kubuqi base project is led by the Three Gorges Corporation, jointly developed by the Inner Mongolia Energy Group, and invested by the Three Gorges Energy Holdings. The Kubuqi base project has a capacity of 16 million kilowatts, including 8 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power and 4 million kilowatts of wind power, about 4 million kilowatts of coal-fired power, and about 300-5 million kilowatt-hours of energy storage. The first phase of the pilot project of grid-connected power generation has an installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts, supporting energy storage systems with a capacity of 150 megawatts and 300 megawatt-hours (that is, the maximum charging and discharging power is 150 megawatts and the total storage capacity is 300 megawatt-hours).
The successful grid connection of the first phase of the pilot project of the Kubuqi base project is of great significance to promote green development and green energy transformation, and help China achieve the dual carbon goal.
