Lubricating oil is an important "partner" of screw air compressors. The high temperature of the lubricating oil of the screw air compressor will not only reduce the service life, but also seriously affect the normal operation of the unit. Especially in June and July, the weather is very hot, and high temperatures often occur, so it is necessary to strictly control the oil temperature of the air compressor lubricating oil. So how do we control the oil temperature of the screw air compressor?
1.Open the skylight of the screw air compressor station and open the doors and windows for ventilation. In the weather when the temperature is very high, the ground cooling measures of the screw air compressor room can also be washed with cold water regularly.
2.In summer, the weather is hot, and the temperature of the circulating cooling water remains high, which makes the oil cooler not work well, and the oil temperature rises rapidly. Therefore, it is necessary to take cooling measures in time to reduce the temperature of the circulating water.
3.Check the lubricating oil of the screw air compressor, and add new oil in time if the oil quantity is not enoughIf the color of the lubricating oil is found to be whitish and thin, the oil quality should be checked in time. If the performance quality of the lubricating oil deteriorates, it should be replaced with a new lubricating oil in time. The screw air compressor is used in a poor use environment, and the replacement cycle should be appropriately shortened.
4.Keep the oil cooler unobstructed and check the effectiveness of the cooler regularly. The blockage of the oil cooler is one of the reasons for the increase in oil temperature, if the oil cooler is found to be blocked, it should be cleaned up in time to ensure its cooling effect and the normal operation of the equipment.
Extended reading: Why do screw air compressors have water in air-air separators.
The master received a ** from a factory in Dongguan City and asked what caused the oil and gas separator in their factory to have water. The screw air compressor oil-air separator mainly separates the compressed air from the lubricating oil to make the compressed air cleaner. Allow the lube to be used again. Many users will also encounter the failure of water inlet from the oil-gas separator when using it. So what causes water ingress into the oil-gas separator?
1.The outlet pipeline of the screw air compressor is equipped with a check valve, and the moist air with high temperature and high pressure is discharged through the exhaust valve of the screw air compressor, and still carries a certain amount of oil and water after passing through the post-stage cooler. Due to the long service time of the screw air compressor, the water generated by the exhaust air gathers around the pipeline and the check valve, resulting in the water backflow to the inside of the chassis, and the water content of the lubricating oil gradually increases, which eventually leads to the oil level alarm and fault shutdown of the high-pressure screw air compressor.
2.Screw air compressors should have a minimum operating time to prevent the formation of condensation, which can cause rust of cylinder valves, frame parts, etc. The build-up of condensate in the crankcase can cause incorrect oil level readings. Water and oil cannot be mixed, and their co-existence causes the oil to deteriorate quickly. The minimum running time is generally not less than 10min, which should be enough for the screw air compressor to heat to the vaporized condensation moisture.
