Stop killing civilians in southern Gaza

Isn't this a war crime in violation of international humanitarian law?The cessation of fighting in the Palestinian Autonomous Region of Gaza demonstrates the importance of dialogue, including the mutual release of hostages, including by both sides. However, just as the 7 days ended at the end of last month, the conversation broke down.

The Israeli army has announced an invasion of southern and northern Gaza aimed at eliminating Hamas, an Islamist group that effectively controls Gaza, and freeing more hostages. However, the behavior of the mass ** civilian population is completely unacceptable. The international community must do everything in its power to pave the way for a ceasefire.

The Gaza Strip, with a population of more than 2.2 million, was called a "prison without a ceiling" when Israel invaded the northern part of the region, which was known for its long-closed borders, and it ordered residents to evacuate to the south. As a result, the inhabitants of the south flocked to safety. According to the United Nations, by the end of last month, nearly 9580,000 people live in 99 shelters. Israel has relentlessly shelled the area and is now asking residents to flee further south, closer to the Egyptian border. It continues to attack refugee camps and hospitals in the north, claiming that Hamas headquarters are underground. In less than two months of fighting, the death toll on the Gaza side is staggering at well over 15,000 people, about 70 per cent of whom are women and children. On the Israeli side, about 1,200 people died. It goes without saying that the fuse for this battle was the terrorist attack of Hamas on 7 October, which was an unforgivable act of barbarism, and Hamas should immediately release the kidnapped hostages.

However, it can be said that Israel's actions have now completely lost the support of the international community. It is said that before the southern invasion, they had informed them of the situation in the war zone through **, but it was impossible for the evacuated residents to be informed at all. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who supported the move, said "protecting civilians is a moral obligation" and warned Israel that if Hamas gains public support, it will be the result of a "strategic defeat." This war is wanton in defiance of international humanitarian law and only deepens the world's isolation. Renewed calls for a halt to the fighting in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council. It is hoped that the United States, together with Qatar and other mediators, will take a stronger step towards the resumption of negotiations. 100 help plan
