Intel has made a clear statement on domestic chips such as Huawei, and ASML has also officially stated its export attitude.
Huawei can develop a variety of chips by itself, but these chips are basically manufactured by TSMC foundry, and the changes in chip rules make TSMC and others unable to ship at will, and Huawei and other domestic industrial chains cannot manufacture advanced chip processes outside.
As a result, Huawei Mate60Pro was suddenly listed as using the self-developed Kirin 9000S chip, rather than only being manufactured in China using domestic equipment.
Subsequently, Huawei launched the Hongqiao 900 chip, and the Ascend 910bai chip also appeared, and as a result, the chip giants began to change their degrees.
ASML announced that its request to the Netherlands** has been approved, and it will continue to send lithography models such as the 2000i to the country, which is expected to send 5.5 billion euros worth of lithography machines this year, accounting for more than 20%.
The United States plans to continue sending chips to our country and has approved a shipment worth $1 billion.
The key point is that Intel's clever attitude towards domestic chip manufacturers such as Huawei said that without chip orders from Chinese manufacturers, it is meaningless to build the world's largest factory.
ASML also said that it is optimistic about its business in China in 2024 and will clarify the export rules to the United States.
In other words, after the emergence of the Kirin 9000s chip, all chip giants began to accelerate their shipments to China, not wanting to lose the domestic market, because Huawei has made a breakthrough in the domestic industrial chain.
First of all, Huawei not only mass-produced 9,000 chips in China, but also increased the chip self-sufficiency rate to 70%, and got a large number of chips produced in China.
According to the news, the domestic industrial chain has the ability to build a Duvi lithography machine, which can reduce the chip process to 7m, and the whole process of non-US 7nm will be realized in China.
SMIC started 5nm R&D very early, and ASML insisted on sending lithography models such as 2000i to the domestic market, which can reduce the chip manufacturing process to 5nm, and the effect can be imagined.
The key is that the wafer giants are cutting expenses, but SMIC's capital expenditure this year is still more than $6 billion, mainly for research and development of advanced processes and wafer expansion.
Second, more and more wafers are being produced domestically, with 75% of SMIC's wafer orders coming from domestic manufacturers.
SMIC has officially announced that the wafer expansion work has been basically completed, and it is expected that by the end of this year, the monthly output of various chips will reach more than 100 million pieces, which means that a large number of chips will be produced and sold by themselves.
TSMC has begun to accelerate the shipment of AI chips such as 7nm chips to domestic manufacturers, and Wei Zhejia also led a team to visit important domestic customers, obviously trying to win more domestic orders.
This is also the reason why ASML insists on and accelerates shipments to China, a large number of chips are produced in China, and a large number of lithography machines are naturally needed.
Finally, domestic chip manufacturers such as Huawei are getting better and better, and in the first few months of this year, domestic manufacturers reduced chip imports by about 60 billion.
It is reported that Huawei's self-developed Ascend 910B chip has been bought by more than one domestic manufacturer, and its AI capabilities are comparable to that of NVIDIA A100.
The key is that Huawei's Xu Zhijun asked domestic manufacturers to use more domestic chips and other products, reduce dependence on imported products, and promote the development of the domestic industrial chain.
It can be seen from Xu Zhijun's statement that the domestic industrial chain must master more advanced chip technology, otherwise Zhang Zhongmou will not suddenly change his face, TSMC has also decided to take root in Taiwan, and Samsung and other manufacturers have obtained permanent immunity.
