Yang Chang Ziming, Junping, born in Huayin, Hongnong County (now Huayin, Shaanxi), is a famous politician in the Western Han Dynasty, the first ancestor of Hongnong Yang. Yang Chang married the daughter of Sima Qian, served as prime minister, imperial historian, Dasi Nong, etc., was knighted Marquis Anping, and authored works such as "Abolition of the King of Changyi" and "Great-grandson of Emperor Lihuang". In 74 BC, Yang Chang died, and his nickname was "Jing".

There was a person named Yang Chang beside him, who was cautious in his words and deeds, and was appreciated by Huo Guang and became Huo Guang's military commander. After Yang Chang, he successively served as Changshi, Sosu Duwei and other officials. Ranked in JiuqingIn 81 B.C., Yang Chang was appointed as the Great Si Nong, who was in charge of the national warehouse or persuaded the peasants. In 80 B.C., his cousin Zuo General Shangguan Ji rebelled, and Yan Cang, the messenger of the rice field at that time, knew about it and told Yang Chang. Yang Chang has always been cautious, and he did not report it, but just pretended to be sick and was bedridden at home. Yan Cang told the doctor Du Yannian about this again, and Du Yannian reported it, and finally succeeded in rehabilitation. Yan Cang and Du Yannian both got fiefs, but Yang Chang did not report them because he was in Jiuqing and did not get the fiefdom. In 75 BC, Wang Xin died, and Emperor Zhao of the Han Dynasty appointed Yang Chang as prime minister. In 74 BC, Emperor Zhao of Han, who was only twenty-one years old, died in Weiyang Palace, and Huo Guang consulted with his ministers and chose Liu He, the grandson of Emperor Wu of Han, as his heir. Who knew that after Liu He succeeded to the throne, he often feasted, danced, and had fun. After Huo Guang heard about it, he was worried and secretly discussed with the chariot general Zhang Anshi and the great Sima Tian Yannian, planning to abolish Liu He and set up another virtuous monarch. After the plan was agreed, Huo Guang sent Tian Yannian to tell Yang Chang so that they could act together. When Yang Chang heard this, he was immediately frightened, and he only cared about "uh-huh", sweating profusely. Yang Chang's wife is the daughter of Ma Qian of Taishi Company, and she is quite courageous. Seeing her husband's hesitation, she was secretly anxious, and when Tian Yannian was changing clothes and walking away, she stepped forward to persuade her husband: "How can you hesitate in major national affairs." The general has already made a decision, and you should also fight quickly, otherwise great disaster will surely come. It just so happened that Tian Yannian came back at this time, and Mrs. Sima couldn't avoid it, so she simply met Tian Yannian generously. Only then did Yang Chang inform Tian Yannian that he was willing to obey the general's orders. Tian Yannian reported back to Huo Guang, Huo Guang was very satisfied, and immediately arranged for Yang Chang to lead the ministers to the table and invite the queen mother. The next day, Yang Chang and his ministers met with the Empress Dowager and explained the reason why the king of Changyi was unworthy of inheriting the throne. The Empress Dowager immediately issued an edict to abolish Liu He, and set up Liu Xun, the great-grandson of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, as the king, known as Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty. More than a month later, Yang Chang passed away, nicknamed "Jing". Yang Chang's son Yang Zhong inherited the title, and because of Yang Chang's contribution to stabilizing the temple, he added 3,500 households. 
Yang Chang and Yang JianAt present, it is more accepted to say that Yang Zhong and Yang Jian are both from the orthodox Hongnong Yang family, and are the thirteenth and fourteenth generations of descendants of Yang Zhen, the Taiwei of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Yang Zhen is a descendant of Yang Chang, so it is said that Emperor Wen of Sui, including himself, and his family, is actually a descendant of Yang Chang, and Yang Chang married the daughter of Sima Qian.
