[The 17th Xinjiang Winter Expo and 2023 Xinjiang Hot Snow Festival].
Hot snow Xinjiang, vibrant Silk Road. On the 23rd, the 2023 Xinjiang Hot Snow Festival Hot Snow Series kicked off at Jikepulin International Ski Resort. Many professional skiers and ski enthusiasts at home and abroad went to this ice and snow meeting to ignite the passion of winter in Xinjiang.
The 2023 Xinjiang Hot Snow Festival includes the Hot Snow Challenge, Hot Snow Tour, Hot Snow Walking Conference and Hot Snow Walking Night, focusing on specialization, marketization, branding, and internationalization, stimulating the gathering of winter cultural and tourism traffic, leveraging ice and snow resources, leading the ice and snow trend, and promoting ice and snow consumption, helping Xinjiang become a world-class ice and snow tourism destination, and deeply shaping the global image of "Ice and Snow Xinjiang, Youth Xinjiang, Harmonious Xinjiang, and World Xinjiang".
Jaynes Hades, deputy secretary of the Altay Prefectural Committee and commissioner of the regional administration, said that Altay is the origin of human skiing and the snow capital of China, and the snow quality, snow quantity, snow season, temperature, humidity and slope are all world-class. As a new super IP of ice and snow cultural tourism brand, the Xinjiang Hot Snow Festival chose Altay for its debut, which is not only a recognition of the unique ice and snow resources here, but also attracts tourists from all over the world to experience the unique charm here.
With the sound of "Skiing in Xinjiang in Winter"**, dancers wearing colorful costumes on the stage danced a cheerful Xinjiang dance. On the side of the slope, 20 athletes galloped down on fur skis, followed by a modern ski team formation of 36 athletes, and dozens of public skiers. Characteristic singing and dancing performances and wonderful ski performances have created a characteristic audio-visual feast of Xinjiang ice and snow sports.
As a skier, I am so happy to be able to participate in today's opening ceremony. The ski resorts in Xinjiang are top-notch, and the scenery is particularly beautiful, and skiing here feels like sliding into a movie. Zhou Qianqian, a skier wearing an orange horse-faced skirt, said.
As an important part of the Hot Snow Festival, the Hot Snow series attracts professional skiers, folk skiers, and public skiers to participate in creative, ornamental and interesting snow sports. After the opening ceremony, the Hot Snow Challenge snowboard parallel giant slalom began, with competitors from home and abroad facing off against each other on a 500-meter-long closed track. I saw them set off at the same time at the two flag gates set up in parallel, sliding down, turning left and right on the red and blue snow tracks, and quickly passing through the flag gates, like racing cars drifting at extreme speed. The wonderful competition made the whole audience "hot snow" boiling, and the audience vied to applaud.
