Wen Yanhu, this name may not be well-known in the restaurant industry, but his story is enough to move people. He was born in a remote mountain village in Huining, Gansu Province, and at the age of 16, because he was playful and naughty, he took the initiative to abandon school and embarked on the road of going out to work. His first job turned out to be as a dishwasher at the Hongjinglou Hotel in Lanzhou.
However, this sixteen-year-old boy did not feel inferior because of this, but was full of longing and expectation for life, he saw the chefs in white clothes, his heart was full of envy, and he also deeply planted the dream of entering the catering industry, he understood that the work in the kitchen was not as easy as he imagined before, and the extraordinary hard work made him taste the warmth and coldness of the world. However, he still treats it with a normal heart and puts in a hundred times more effort than others.
From the initial fish killing, lotus fighting, display boards, to today's craftsmanship, Wen Yanhu has gone through the arduous road step by step. In this process, he successively worked as a cold chef in the restaurant of the Gansu Provincial Public Security Department, Jiachang Nature Ecological Park, Qingyang Sanli Hotel, Jiachang Restaurant and many confinement centers across the country. His cooking skills are constantly being honed and improved, and he is gradually making a name for himself in the culinary world.
In 2014, Wen Yanhu was admitted to the senior chef examination, and in 2015, he won the second prize in the Culinary Dream Cup Culinary Technology Competition, and in the same year, he also won the title of Top Ten Outstanding Chefs of the Year. In 2016, he won the honor of Outstanding Rising Star of China's Good Cooking in the first China Good Cooking National Competition. In the 2017 Xinjiang Snow Lotus Cup Cooking Technology Competition, he won the special gold medal and obtained the qualifications of public nutritionist, health manager and Chinese cooking master.
