EF's "Go Far Away" public welfare study trip program is a comprehensive practical activity to help children get out of school and explore the vast unknown world on their own. It is jointly carried out by EF Education First Children, Pumi** and Shanghai True Love Dream Public Welfare Association.

Based on the 12 sessions of "Going Far Away" dream course in 3 months, this activity guides children to work in small groups to develop study trip plans, master basic travel skills, and develop their ability to ask questions and solve problems. Let the children become confident, independent and responsible brave dreamers during the journey. In chasing dreams, we can truly understand the current situation of urban and rural areas, cultural history, stimulate the spirit of exploration, and deepen the sincere feelings of loving the motherland and hometown.

The education we have at our fingertips may be the dream of some children who do their best;

We say that the outing of walking and going may be a hard-won journey for some children;

The city we live in every day may be the distant place that some children dream of.

EF is willing to give wings to these children's dreams, go out of the mountains together, and make the distance no longer an ethereal concept, but a practical plan for children.

Started in May of this year,Children from 9 remote township and mountain schools in Chengkou, Wushan, Shizhu, Wulong and Shapingba in ChongqingThrough the course of "Going to a Far Place", I learned about the methods of inquiry, screening and integration of various types of information needed to make a travel plan, and exercised and developed the ability of resource coordination and problem solving.

InSchool lead teachers and EF volunteer teachersWith the help of the children, they choose their own transportation and accommodation, and assign tasks and collaborate.

From exploring Beijing's historic sites, the charm of Beijing's architecture, Beijing's shadow puppetry, Laoshe culture, to appreciating Shanghai's international architecture, and then to Shenzhen's sea. The children's curiosity, imagination and dreams about the famous city are filled with the words of each plan. After completing the "unique" tourism research program, the children formed various teams and embarked on a dream journey together from August 12th to August 18th.
