Yu Hewei: For example, I graduated from the Shanghai Theater Academy, but in the first year of school, I wanted to drop out. I felt like I didn't fit in there, and I couldn't keep up with my classmates and teachers. There are so many handsome guys and beauties, I am not outstanding, and the professional teacher does not praise me, I began to wonder if I am not suitable for this profession, and my self-confidence has gradually disappeared.
Newbie Support Program Yao Miao: Then at what point did you regain this confidence?Yu Hewei: I think it's on stage, when I play a role, and so many people applaud and laugh in the audience, that feeling is unfamiliar to me. For the first time, I felt like I could do a good performance. That sense of presence will make me feel confident, feel that I am not inferior to others, and finally step by step, even a little better than others.
Zhou Xun: When did you first want to be an actor?
Yu Hewei: From the time I began to find out that I hadn't studied well. I first learned **, piano, dancing, singing, I found that I didn't learn well, afraid of misleading people's children, because after graduation to go to primary school as a teacher, just that year the local repertory troupe enrollment, I thought, if I can be admitted to the repertory troupe, I don't have to be a teacher, so I went to try, there were dozens of applicants at that time, but there were only two admission places, a boy and a girl, I was one of them.
Yao Miao: This should give you a lot of encouragement.
Yu Hewei: Yes, I just had self-confidence, but after filming in the repertory troupe, I spoke Northeast dialect, and everyone criticized me. At that time, at the dinner table, the assistant director asked me, "Are you from the Fushun Repertory Theatre", and I said, "Yes". "How do you speak Mandarin like that?"I just arrived. "You just came here and you have to learn. When I wanted to pick up the vegetables, he immediately said, "Don't pick up the vegetables, put the chopsticks there, and recite a tongue twister to me."
I said I wouldn't carry it, because the people of the Northeast don't know how to distinguish between them. Then I still wanted to eat, but the assistant director never let me eat it. Later, as soon as I put the chopsticks down, I said, "I can't recite them, I don't carry them", turned around and left. Since then, I have carried a Xinhua dictionary in my pocket, and I look up the dictionary when I see words I don't know on the road or in the car. I remember very clearly, once I saw "Spring Breeze Barber Shop", I wondered if "Spring" was flat or upturned, I didn't know, so I immediately took out the dictionary and looked it up.
Yao Miao: I really want to thank the people who feel sorry for you, if you look at it from another angle, their criticism is a kind of urging.
