The patrol team in the snow resort recognizes beginners at a glance, and if you can t persuade them

The first snow in Beijing has not yet arrived this winter, but in the ski resorts of Miyun, Yanqing and Changping, the crystal artificial snow has been smoothly covered with the slopes, the primary and intermediate trails have been opened one after another, and the advanced trails are about to complete snowmaking, ushering in the first batch of snow friends in the new snow season.

In the post-Winter Olympics era, winter skiing has become the most "hot" leisure project, in the major ski resorts, there are more "veterans" galloping down the slopes, and there are more "whites" who experience skiing, which makes the ski resorts full of the passion of competitive sports and the joy of leisure sports. In addition to ski instructors, there is also a group of skiing experts, who form a ski patrol team to protect the safety of skiers.

Inspecting the protective net is the "first lesson" of the day

This year is the 11th snow season spent in the snow resort by Wang Chunlei, the captain of the patrol team of Jundu Mountain Ski Resort, and he has long adapted to the cold weather in winter. Dressed in a snow suit, a green reflective vest with the words "Snow Rescue" written on it, at 8 a.m., Wang Chunlei's day's work began.

More than 10 years ago, Wang Chunlei was one of the many ordinary skiers who came to ski in the ski resort. "At that time, I was working in the factory, and during the Spring Festival holiday, I went to Jundu Mountain to learn skiing. At the beginning, it was a snow resort 'Xiaobai', and from the most basic learning, I didn't expect to fall in love with skiing on this slope. For Wang Chunlei, skiing has an irresistible charm, and later he simply quit his job in the factory, passed the ski skills assessment, and became a ski resort employee, "I turned my hobby into a job, which is a very happy thing." ”

From the first day of working in the ski resort, Wang Chunlei was responsible for snow patrol and rescue, "In the ski resort, everyone is familiar with ski instructors, in fact, our patrol members are also distributed in the venue, and we patrol members can be seen on every ski slope." ”

Beginner, intermediate and advanced trails have at least two patrol members working on each trail, wearing full ski gear and wearing reflective vests with "Snow Rescue" printed on top of their suits in order to help skiers identify and get help as soon as possible. In addition, unlike snowboarding, which is popular now, patrolmen use skis to move around the snow more quickly.

In ski resorts, the patrol team does not only patrol but also has a lot of safety concerns. Jundu Mountain Ski Resort opens at 9 a.m. every day, and an hour before it opens, Wang Chunlei and his colleagues need to check all the protective nets of the entire ski resort. The protective net is an effective line of defense to ensure the safety of skiers, especially for the "little white" of the snow resort, if it will not slow down and turn on the snow road, it is likely that a fierce man will rush into the protective net with a board, if the net cannot be held, there is a risk of accidents.

The length of the primary road protection network of Jundu Mountain Ski Resort is about 300 meters, the length of the intermediate road protection network is about 380 meters, and the advanced road protection network is about 1 kilometer. After working in the ski resort for 11 years, every ski trail has been "long" in Wang Chunlei's heart, "We wear snowboards, and we have to check the protective net of each ski slope little by little every day, so that there can be no gaps, and the places that should be tightened must be tightened." "The fastest time to check the beginner and intermediate trails is 40 minutes, after which the patrolmen go up the advanced trail and slowly slide down the slopes, carefully checking the safety net as they ski. It takes about 20 minutes to inspect the protective net of the high-end road.

Checking the protective net before opening every day is a mandatory action in major ski resorts. Liang Tingyu, assistant to the chairman of Nanshan Ski Resort, said that from the perspective of ensuring safety, the ski resort should lay down soft protective columns and pull up double-layer protective nets before the arrival of the snow season, and safety inspections should be carried out every day.

In addition, the patrol teams of all ski resorts are composed of skilled skiers, and the team members must undergo professional training and pass the assessment before they can engage in ski rescue.

Focus on the "little white" of the snow resort

In many networks**, beginner skiers who don't slow down rush down the slopes, screaming and stumbling down a group of skiers. In the eyes of the ski patrol officers, these beginners who are "newborn calves are not afraid of tigers" are exactly the ones who need to be paid attention to.

In the ski resort, the patrol members have seen a lot of large and small emergencies, skiers have falls, there are contusions, the team members have already practiced keen observation, who is the master among the skiers, who is the "little white", who is suitable for skiing what kind of slopes, you can see at a glance. "According to the situation of skiers wearing ski equipment, posture on the slopes, eyes, and movements, you can preliminarily judge their skiing skills, so as to remind or protect them in a targeted manner. Wang Chunlei said.

Skiing is dangerous, especially when it comes to exercising. However, in the major ski resorts, there is no shortage of self-challenging skiers, so there are loudspeakers placed on the side of the intermediate and advanced trails, looping ** broadcasts, reminding skiers to do what they can, and the staff and patrol members will also take the trouble to remind them.

The advanced slopes of each ski resort are the steepest and most difficult, so the technical skills of the patrols here are also the most comprehensive. "In recent years, everyone's safety awareness has become more and more high, and most people listen to persuasion, and there are not many reckless skiers. If you encounter a snowcutter who is really not listening, the patrol will follow you and slide down with you, and if you have an accident, we can help you as soon as possible. Wang Chunlei said.

Following the popularity, ski resort practitioners said that there were potential safety hazards.

Among the snow rescues Wang Chunlei has experienced, the most serious one is when a snowman broke his thigh bone. It was the 2020 snow season, and the team members who were patrolling the advanced road found a snowman lying on the slope, unable to move his body and looking very painful.

Due to the incident on the advanced road, the slope is quite large, which adds a lot of difficulty to the rescue. Rescuers had to use stretchers to carry the injured from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain. The slopes are covered with snow and are very slippery, so the team has to be very careful with every step. Wang Chunlei recalled that after more than 30 minutes of hard work, the injured were finally safely transferred to the medical room at the bottom of the mountain, at which time 120 was in place, and the injured were smoothly transferred to the hospital for further **.

Snow rescue has an emergency plan, which includes rescuers quickly arriving below the location of the injured person, asking about the physical condition of the injured person, and making a preliminary judgment of the injury.

Wang Chunlei said that in this sudden situation, there may still be skiers who are sliding down the slope one after another, so rescuers will stand above the position of the injured and cross the snowboards, reminding other patrol members that there are injured people here and should divert other skiers to both sides of the slope as soon as possible. At the same time, team members should contact the on-site medical team through walkie-talkies to prepare for rescue.

Liang Tingyu also said that in addition to the patrol members on the slopes, there are many ski instructors in the ski resort, if the coach finds an accident, he will also notify the nearest patrol members as soon as possible, after the team arrives at the scene, the preliminary judgment of the injured person's situation, the light can return by snowmobile, and the serious injury will use a stretcher.

How to avoid accidents?A number of ski resort staff reminded that skiing must be done according to one's ability, wear helmets, goggles and other equipment during the exercise, and do not speed skate and rush the slope during the skiing processFor beginners, you must not panic during skiing, and in case of special circumstances, you can try to actively fall to the side and back to avoid accidents.

In addition, in recent years, skiing and photography have become popular, and ski resort practitioners remind that it is not recommended for skiers to carry out this activity, because even skilled skiers, if they shoot sideways for skiers**, it is difficult to take into account their own safety or that of other skiers, and there are potential safety hazards.
