Master Hai Deng, commonly known as Fan Jinghe, the word Shaoting, is a native of Yanting, Sichuan. Modern Chinese Buddhist monks, famous for Zen Buddhism and martial arts. Throughout his life, he adhered to the tenet of "performing Buddhism with martial arts and protecting the minds of the people with meditation", and worked very hard, which was quite a Shaolin true legend. Here are four stories of his "Flame Mouth".
Story 1: When Master Hai Deng was a monk in Shaolin Temple, he was promoted to the head of the warrior monk because of his work in protecting the temple. On one occasion, he was sent to a foreign land to live up to the soul of a deceased. In the process of transcendence, he used profound martial arts as the foundation to inject mental power into the body of the transcendent, so that the deceased could rest in peace. This experience of "Flame Mouth" made him highly praised and laid the foundation for his spiritual path. Story 2: During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Master Hai Deng led the monks of Shaolin Temple to fight on the front line. In one battle, he single-handedly rescued dozens of Chinese soldiers. After the war, he returned to the Shaolin Temple to continue his practice. Once, he was invited to spend time for a deceased, and he used his profound meditation and martial arts to rest for the deceased. This experience of "Flame Mouth" once again demonstrated the results of his cultivation.
Story 3: Once, Master Hai Deng was invited to "set off a flame" for a seriously ill patient. In the process of transcendence, he used his martial arts and meditation skills to eliminate the pain of the patient. Afterwards, the patient's family was very grateful, believing that this was a manifestation of Venerable Hai Deng's compassion and success. Story 4: Once, when Master Hai Lantern was traveling all over the world, he met a young monk. The monk was so sick and miserable that he asked Master Hai Lantern to "set off a flame mouth" for him. After understanding the situation, Venerable Hai Deng used his meditation and martial arts to eliminate the monk's pain. The monk was grateful, believing that this was a manifestation of Venerable Hai Deng's compassion and spiritual success.
