In the current international community, the rising China is undoubtedly the "best object of cooperation" that all countries are vying for, and in order to "seek" an opportunity for cooperation, many countries have carried out the spirit of self-recommendation to the end and directly run to China to seek cooperation, and Turkey is one of them.

A few days ago, China's first ** chain expo kicked off in Beijing, which is currently the first national exhibition with the theme of "** chain", to participate in the Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions, reached 515, during this period, a Turkish business delegation of about 50 people arrived in Beijing, and participated in the bilateral business forum with the Chinese side.

At the forum, the Turkish ambassador to China went straight to the point and expressed the purpose of the visit, which is to further develop the Chinese market and make Turkey an "intermediate station" for Chinese investment, and put forward the hope that China can increase overseas investment in Turkey, which only accounts for 1% of China's total overseas investment.

Turkey's ambassador to China listed a series of reasons for Sino-Turkish cooperation: First, Turkey said that the current political stability in Turkey has laid an important foundation for the prosperity and development of China and Turkey. Second, Turkey's unique geographical location is a key hub connecting Asia, Europe and Africa, making it an ideal location for China to develop its business. Third, Turkey was the first to sign a free ** clause with the EU. Fourthly, Turkey's production potential, logistics facilities, and production capacity are among the best in the region. Fifth, China and Turkey both have a profound historical and cultural background, and their ties are also very close.

Judging from the above conditions, there seems to be no reason for China not to cooperate with Turkey, but Turkey's "past record" inevitably makes people worry. In March this year, Turkey officially announced that it would impose an additional 40% tariff on electric vehicles imported from China, and this move is only for China, and the tariffs that other countries need to pay are still around 10%.

It is worth mentioning that before the Turkish side announced the levy, the Chinese rescue team had just evacuated from Turkey, and on February 6, after the violent ** in Turkey, the Chinese side sent people to the rescue as soon as possible, and also donated 40 million yuan and a large number of relief materials. Turkey's move is somewhat of a "turning its face and denying people".

In this regard, the Turkish side explained that the move was to protect "local enterprises", which means that there is no ill will towards China. But in retrospect, if Turkey really wants to develop its own energy vehicles, it should treat all imported new energy vehicles equally and include all imported new energy vehicles in the list of tariffs, but Turkey only restricts China.

As a matter of fact, China has always not ruled out cooperation with Turkey, because the actual benefits brought by cooperation between the two countries will not be falsified. Moreover, Turkey is now one of the important investment destinations for Chinese technology companies, for example, Huawei's largest overseas R&D center is located in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition, China is also one of Turkey's important partners, and the economic exchanges between the two countries are also close.

Although Turkey has some restrictions and protectionist tendencies in some areas, this does not prevent the two sides from cooperating in other areas. China has always encouraged openness and cooperation, actively promoted liberalization, advocated multilateralism, and worked with other countries to build an open world economy.

As for Turkey's request for cooperation, China will evaluate and consider it according to the common interests and cooperation potential of both sides. Whether the two sides can establish a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperative relationship requires further communication and negotiation.

In general, Turkey ran to China for cooperation, and China has no reason to completely ignore it. Both sides have certain ties and potential for cooperation at the political, economic and cultural levels. However, there are some issues and problems that need to be resolved between the two sides to ensure the smooth progress of the cooperation before further cooperation.
