China's fuel cell vehicle industry has entered a critical period of acceleration
Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are vehicles that make hydrogen react with oxygen in the air in a fuel cell to produce electricity, and electricity is used as the driving force, referred to as fuel cell vehicles.
According to the latest information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to November this year, China produced a total of 5,261 fuel cell vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 35%, maintaining a good development trend. In terms of technology, the cost of fuel cell systems has dropped to 3,000 yuan per kilowatt, an 80% reduction from 2020, and the stack volume power density has reached 4,000 watts per liter, an increase of 35% compared with 2020.
Wu Zhixin, Deputy General Manager of China Automotive Technology and Research Center: (We) have broken through a lot of key technologies, including these key components, usually called the eight major parts, more than 80% of the degree of localization, from a technical point of view, we are very close to the international level.
At the same time, the reporter learned that in terms of industrial ecology, there are currently 62 companies in China with the production capacity of fuel cell vehicles, and more than 700 models have been announced. More than 400 hydrogen refueling stations have been built, and the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain have shown a good development trend. In terms of promotion and application, more than 7,000 fuel cell vehicles have been promoted in five urban demonstration clusters.
The relevant person in charge of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said that since the beginning of this year, the company has realized the delivery of more than 100 fuel cell vehicles with Shanghai, Beijing and other places, which are used in urban logistics, bus passenger transport, heavy-duty transportation and other scenarios.
Accelerate the construction of hydrogen refueling stations and build China's hydrogen energy highway
In addition to the fuel cell vehicle industry has entered a critical period of acceleration, the "Action Initiative for Building China's Hydrogen Energy Expressway" was released recently (1st), including the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and other departments to accelerate the construction of hydrogen refueling stations on the highway network and start the construction of China's hydrogen energy highway.
It is understood that the proposed construction of hydrogen energy high-speed planning is based on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhengzhou, Hebei five city demonstration clusters, a total of 41 cities, the goal of the five demonstration city agglomeration hydrogen energy high-speed network construction.
This planning vision includes preferential policy support for high-speed operating vehicles and high-speed hydrogen refueling stations;Introduce a policy of reducing or reducing highway tolls to promote the operating cost of fuel cell vehicles to be comparable to that of fuel vehiclesOptimize the operating costs of hydrogen refueling station construction. Experts pointed out that China's fuel cell vehicle industry has entered a new stage of development, and the construction of hydrogen energy highway will further promote the large-scale development of the fuel cell vehicle industry.
**Gou Ping, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission: Strengthen the construction of a high-speed hydrogen energy network system, strengthen the promotion and application of cross-regional, medium and long-distance fuel cell vehicles, and promote the gradual formation of a hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry ecosystem that connects the whole country.
