Cardiff City came off a 2-1 Premier League win over Sheffield United thanks to two unfortunate own goals from Eguin Famivo. The home side took the lead in the 28th minute through a brilliant strike from Anthony Musaba who managed to beat an opposition defender and send the ball into the back of the net.

Sheffield United had many chances to extend their lead but failed to capitalise on their dominance. In the 74th minute, Cardiff equalised through an own goal from Famivo, where Karan Grant's cross deflected off and into the bottom corner.

Cameron Dawson's mistake in the 88th minute gave Cardiff the lead, and Farmivo again kicked the ball into his own net on a try-out. Sheffield United appealed a number of penalties in the closing stages of the game, but all were denied. The win lifted Cardiff to 10th in the Premier League table, with Sheffield United remaining in the relegation zone, six points off the relegation zone. Sheffield United manager Danny Roll made two changes to his squad, while Cardiff manager Errol Bruttu made three changes after their 3-0 defeat against Hull City.
