Autumn and Winter Check-in Challenge
My hobby is free, and what I have been doing the most is planting some lazy flowers. Most of them are woody because you don't have to buy them every year.
This pot of strawberries is the only one of the 10 strawberry seedlings I bought in the live broadcast room on a whim last spring that survived and still blossomed and bore fruit. The others hung up early last summer.
I didn't understand what kind of variety it was, I bought a few varieties at that time, and the seller didn't mark it when I got it, and I couldn't ask customer service.
It was about to bloom the other day before the weather cooled down, and I was scrambling to manually pollinate it for the first time. I looked at ** on the Internet, found a brush to brush on the flowers, and let the pollen get on the pistil. Strawberries that have been pollinated will grow slowly.
The strawberry has just cooled down after flowering, and I am afraid that it will freeze to death and move into the living room to focus on protection, and I will be so happy if I can eat the strawberries I planted this year.
Two small strawberries have already been born, and the third flower is about to bloom, hoping that it will not freeze to death in winter. We have a minimum temperature of around 5 here, and I've heard that some varieties of strawberries are very hardy.
It's getting colder and colder, and I don't like to go out anymore. It's also nice to look at my flowers and plants by the windowsill every day.
In addition to the strawberries, I also have a navel orange, which was planted in a bucket to reduce the weight of the windowsill, the bucket is not beautiful but it is lighter and deeper than a large pot, and this navel orange is placed on the edge of the windowsill. Now there is an "only child" hanging. Last year, there were three, and this year there is only one fruit that is not managed properly.
Although there are few fruits, the process from flowering to fruiting is the joy of planting. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the fruit of this navel orange last year was, with a lot of juice and sweetness, it was perfect.
In addition to the navel orange, there is also a lemon on the windowsill in the living room that grows from a single seed and then blossoms and bears fruit. It took about five years to blossom and bear fruit.
In the spring, small lemon fruits hang all over the tree, and the sense of accomplishment is overwhelming. Because it wants to grab the sun, it grows out diagonally, and it looks ugly. But fifty or sixty small lemon fruits hanging on the tree are also quite beautiful, this variety is a lime, it does not grow big, and it is just right to soak in water and drink one at a time.
In my free time, I like to lie on the windowsill and watch them grow slowly, which is very interesting and decompressing. It's really nice to look at my flowers and plants when I'm in a bad mood.
Friends, if you have the opportunity, you can also plant a pot of greenery, it is very fun and super relaxing to decompress.
