Recently, the Hubei Provincial Administration for Market Regulation announced the list of standardization pilot projects to be approved in 2024, and the comprehensive traffic meteorological service standardization pilot project undertaken by the Hubei Provincial Meteorological Service Center was listed as a Class B provincial standardization pilot project.

It is understood that to promote the implementation of the pilot project of comprehensive traffic meteorological service standardization, it is necessary to establish a standardized traffic meteorological service management system and formulate relevant standards for traffic meteorological services, covering high-speed railways, Yangtze River waterway shipping, port operation meteorological services and traffic meteorological service product production.

After the completion of the project, the development of meteorological standardization has changed from quantity and scale to quality and efficiency, the standardization pattern of multiple participation, efficient operation and coordinated promotion has been basically formed, and the standard implementation and supervision mechanism have been fully implemented, which will play a positive role in promoting the high-quality development of Hubei meteorology.

Hubei Provincial Meteorological Service Center is the secretariat of Hubei Provincial Meteorological Standardization Technical Committee, and has organized the preparation of more than 40 standards, including 3 national standards, 14 industry standards, and 15 local standards, involving traffic meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation, wind and solar energy climate resources, power meteorological services and other aspects, providing scientific and technical specifications for meteorological services, and achieving remarkable results in the standardization construction of professional meteorological services.
