Former Stockton Kings Development League player Chance Comanche has announced that former Stockton Kings Development League player Chance Comanche has been charged with public charges for allegedly "planning" related to the disappearance of a woman named Marana Rodgers.

Comanche, a 27-year-old former University of Arizona big man who was undrafted in 2017 and went on to play for the Memphis Noise and Canton Stormtroopers in the Development League, was accused of "kidnapping" Rogers with his 19-year-old girlfriend, Sakkari Harden.

The police department said in a news release that detectives had "found human remains in the desert area of Henderson, Nevada" and that "the Clark County coroner later confirmed that the remains were Marana Rogers' based on information obtained after the Comanche and Hahnden incidents."

Detectives learned that Rogers, 23, was out with friends on Dec. 5 and had a pre-arranged meeting with Harden and Comanche. Since then, Rogers has not been seen or heard from again, and was reported missing on December 7. Comanche was arrested in Sacramento, California, on Friday by members of the FBI's criminal arrest team and is awaiting extradition to Nevada.

The press release reads: "Detectives have determined that Harden and Comanche are responsible for Rodgers' **. And added, "In coordination with the Clark County District Attorney's Office, the charges against the two were revised to public**."

Comanche played a game for the Portland Trail Blazers in April before rejoining Stockton for the 2023-24 season. He has made 11 appearances this season, five of which have been started.
