Yu Jiashou is a native of Hubei, participated in the revolution during the Jute Uprising, because of his brave fighting, he is often a desperate Sanlang posture, so he is also known as "living Zhang Fei". Yu Jiashou had no less than 20 wounds, large and small, but he never flinched.
In 1936, the Red 4th Army was ordered to cover the front army across the river, when Yu Jiashou served as the commander of the Red 10th Division, and was ordered to lead the army to Tarache for defense, in the battle, his eye was hit by a bomb, but he forgot the pain, with the troops still desperate with the enemy, when the troops were ordered to retreat, Yu Jiashou had completely fainted, and finally he was carried off the battlefield by the soldiers.
This battle, known as the Battle of Hai (Yuan) and Da (Lachi), completely changed the fate of Yu Jiashou.
Yu Jiashou lost his right eye in this battle, and this was not the biggest blow to him, the battle was not won, Yu Jiashou said some grumbling things, and as a result, when he later criticized Zhang Guotao's line, Yu Jiashou was affected and was also imprisoned.
The situation at that time was very complicated, in this silent battle, many Red Army generals couldn't stand it and chose to leave, even Xu Shiyou almost ran away, of course, Xu Shiyou chose to continue the revolution and stayed in Yan'an, and Yu Jiashou failed to hold on and left.
Yu Jiashou was not afraid, he thought very simply, he heard that there was also a revolutionary team in Dabie Mountain, so he wanted to change places to continue the war, but he didn't expect Yu Jiashou to find a revolutionary team in Dabie Mountain, but it attracted the attention of the Kuomintang, and even his home was copied.
In his hometown, Yu Jiashou did not have a good life, and in his heart he still wanted to return to the army, but his original behavior was determined by the organization as defection, so when he came to the Hubei and Henan detachments in Dabie Mountain, the army had no way to take him in, and in desperation, Yu Jiashou had to go home and become a farmer.
In 1949, after the battle of crossing the river, Yu Jiashou found his old superior, Wang Hongkun, deputy commander of the Hubei Military Region, and once again expressed his desire to return to the army, but at that time, the whole country was about to be liberated, and the leaders were ready to let some soldiers return to the local area for construction work
