In the past ten years, the Dong Society of Guizhou Province has successively selected the "Charming Dong Villages" of the Dong Nationality Villages, and named more than 200 charming Dong Villages, which need to be better inherited, protected and developed.

For example, Liping County is a multi-ethnic county inhabited by a large population in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, its ethnic culture is rich and colorful, the multi-voice chorus song of the Dong nationality is famous in the world, and Liping County is the use of holding ethnic cultural activities such as the "Dong Year" to attract tourists, and the effect is remarkable. According to statistics, from January to November 2023, Liping received 556 tourists710,000 person-times, a year-on-year increase of 3469%, and the comprehensive tourism income is 59600 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4269%。Culture plays a positive role in helping the high-quality development of local tourism.
He proposed that the local government should vigorously develop "culture + tourism" according to local conditions, fully tap cultural values, create cultural brands, and integrate culture into the process of tourism development. He said that cultural values should be studied from the aspects of historical value, scientific value, and social value, and only by fully demonstrating these values can we attract and retain tourists.
