On December 31, at the No. 2 berth of the container terminal of Qinzhou Port of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port, with the container hoisting on the "Renjian 5" ship of Antong Logistics, marking the first time that the annual container throughput of Beibu Gulf Port exceeded 8 million TEUs, and the growth rate maintained double-digit growth for seven consecutive years, ranking among the top major coastal ports in the country.

In recent years, the acceleration of the construction of the new land-sea corridor in the western region and the full entry into force of the RCEP have brought major opportunities for the high-quality development of Beibu Gulf Port.

The source of goods is the foundation for the high-quality development of ports. Zhou Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Beibu Gulf Port Co., Ltd., introduced that the company actively connects with the characteristic industries, supply structure and enterprise needs of various cities in Guangxi, and formulates a logistics plan of "one enterprise and one policy", and the container throughput of key customers in Guangxi is expected to increase by 28% year-on-year in 2023.

Since the beginning of this year, Beibu Gulf Port Group has strengthened cooperation with the railway department, continued to dig deep into the supply of goods in the hinterland of the new western land-sea corridor, optimized the logistics cost of sea-rail intermodal transport, and successfully launched a number of new sea-rail intermodal transport projects to promote the growth of sea-rail intermodal container volume.

According to reports, at present, the total number of routes in Beibu Gulf Port has reached 76, including 48 foreign trade routes, and the domestic and foreign trade container routes have basically achieved full coverage of major coastal ports in ASEAN countries and the country.
