Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was once not very well, and when he got well, he went to see the horses, and found that most of the horses were thin, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was furious and said, "Do you think I will never see these horses again!".To punish him, Shangguan kowtowed and said: "I heard that the emperor is unwell, so I worry about you day and night, and I can still take care of the horse." Before he could finish speaking, tears began to fall. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty thought that he was very loyal to him, so he trusted him very much, made him a servant, and gradually promoted to a servant. Chongguo, who was favored by Shangguan's wife's father, was a eunuch who ran to the palace without authorization, was arrested and imprisoned, and should be punished with death according to the law. When winter was about to pass, the princess paid twenty horses for the kingdom to atone for his sins, thus sparing him from the death penalty. Therefore, Shangguan Ji and Shangguan An's father and son deeply resented Huo Guang and were grateful for the princess's kindness. They learned that Liu Dan, the elder brother of Emperor Zhao of Han, was also resentful because he was not made emperor, and Shangguan Ji and Shangguan An recorded Huo Guang's mistakes and told King Yan, asking him to write to Emperor Zhao of Han to denounce Huo Guang and ask for the position of marquis on behalf of Ding Wairen.
