Oscar winner Kwan Jiwei ("Mother's Multiverse") also joined the cast to give a voice to the new character Thieves' Lair Boss Brother.

The film is directed by McMitch (DreamWorks Animation's "Trolls", "Shrek Happy 4"), produced by Rebecca Huntley (DreamWorks Animation's "League of Bad Guys"), and co-directed by Stephanie Ma Sting ("The Baby: Isaria's War"). In 2008, Kung Fu Panda, the first Oscar-nominated film, became DreamWorks Animation's highest-grossing original animated film, grossing more than $1.8 billion worldwide.
