The chip features a high-efficiency full-bridge synchronous rectifier and a high-power LDO.

The SW5208 supports output up to 5W and withstand voltage up to 18V.

Solution analysis

Efficiency test

On behalf of the well-known wireless charging brand products on the market such as Pinsheng, Greenlink, Baseus, etc., the DC power supply was used as the power supply in the experiment, and the receiver of SW5208 was accurately placed on the surface of the wireless charging coil to ensure that the center was aligned and kept at a distance of 3mm. Connect the output of the SW5208 to the electronic load in steps of 0 A by increasing the electronic load current incrementally from 0A to 1A1a. An oscilloscope is used to record the input voltage, current, and output voltage and current of SW5208 under different current conditions, and the efficiency is calculated.

Using Pinsheng wireless charger, the conversion efficiency of 5V1A is 6686%, the peak conversion efficiency occurs at 04A output, the efficiency reached 7377%。

With Baseus wireless charger, the conversion efficiency of 5V1A is 6385%, the peak conversion efficiency occurs at 05A output, efficiency reached 6939%。

Using the wireless charging solution designed based on Zhirong SW5006, the conversion efficiency of 5V1A is 6989%, and the peak conversion efficiency occurs at 04A output, the efficiency reached 7753%。

Temperature rise test

Place the Pinsheng 15W wireless charger and the receiver of the SW5208 in a windless environment, with the Z-axis distance of 3mm and the center aligned. The load current is from 01a starts with 01a is a step, increase to 1a, and record the chip temperature and calculate the temperature rise when the temperature is stable.

Through the temperature rise test, it is verified that the temperature rise of SW5208 is 25 under the load condition of 1A1. Significantly lower than the temperature rise standard of 40.

TX compatibility testing

The wireless charger is powered by DC power supply, Z=3mm, and the maximum offset distance of X,Y that the receiver of SW5208 can communicate with the wireless charger under the conditions of light load (10%), medium load (50%), and heavy load (100%);And if the receiver of SW5208 is repeatedly placed on the wireless charger under full load conditions, will there be no ping.

Through the offset test and repeated placement test with different models of wireless charging, the receiver of SW5208 can work normally and stably every time it is placed.
