I am a native of Wuhan, before the postgraduate entrance examination, I wanted to choose a school closer to home, after thinking twice, I applied for the mechanical major of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology, and finally landed with a score of 399.
In the four years of college, my grades were average, I passed the first low score in level 4, I took the level 6 exam three times, and the highest time I took the 418 exam. When I decided to go to graduate school, it was April, and I really didn't know anything at that time, so I followed what others watched, or I went to the Internet to buy some materials to read.
As a result, I wasted nearly half a month in this unprepared situation, and I also vaguely understood the content. As a person who has come over, I suggest that if you decide to go to graduate school, you must collect some information in advance, and how to learn to have a plan in your brain, so that you can get twice the result with half the effort.
After spending more than half a month, after reflecting this, I knew that my ability was not enough and I could only work hard to make up, so I made a detailed plan according to my own situation with the mentality of breaking the kettle.
In the process of preparing for the exam, emotions rose and fell, experienced many twists and turns and challenges, and finally successfully landed on the shore, in addition to hard work, the correct way to learn Xi is more important. Now I will share my experience and tips for successfully landing with the younger students, I hope it can be helpful to everyone!
Analysis of the ratio of college majors and the score line
When choosing a university and major, the application ratio and cut-off score are factors that must be considered.
Therefore, I have made some relevant analyses on the graduate school entrance examination ratio and score line of Wuhan University of Technology in recent years:
Wuhan University of Technology does not publish the report ratio, and it can be learned from some sources that the expected report ratio is about 6:1. The reproduction ratio is at 1Around 2:1.
Wuhan University of Technology belongs to the top 211 among the 211, and the mechanical engineering discipline ranks B+, which is very recognized in the industry. In order to measure the difficulty of the postgraduate entrance examination of Wuhan University of Technology, I specially counted the average score of Mathematics II for the 2021 Mechanical Master's Degree in 2021 that entered the re-examination is 119 points, and the average score of Mathematics II is about 119 points, and the average score of Mathematics II is about 109 in comparison with some 985 colleges and universities, such as Harbin Institute of Technology in 2021, and the average score of Tianjin University in Mathematics 1 is 106 points (the marking is stricter, and it can be equivalent to 108 points), so in this way, there is not much difference between the difficulty of Wuhan University of Technology and the medium 985.
Looking at the average score of Wuhan Institute of Technology in 2022 is 109 points, the other strong 211 are below 109, Hegong University is around 108 points, and China Southern University of Technology is around 106, in fact, the average score of 985 in 22 is higher than 109, even if Northeastern University and Dalian Institute of Technology are higher than 110.
Based on the situation in the past few years, Wuhan Institute of Technology is a first-grade institution in 211, and in some years it is similar to 985 in remote areas.
As far as I know, the 2023 professional course of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will be changed to mechanical principles + mechanical design, and it is expected that the re-examination line will be very low. However, 2024 will return to normal levels.
It can be seen from the table that in terms of the difficulty of professional courses before 2023, whether it is machinery or vehicles, the average score of professional courses is 120+, and on the whole, the difficulty of professional courses is relatively small, which is still very promising.
Xi experience, reference books, and time planning for each subject in the initial examination
1.English 45 points: English is a compulsory subject for the graduate school entrance examination, and it is also the most difficult subject for me, so I spent the most time on English during the whole preparation and Xi preparation process.
Memorizing words, large and small compositions, difficult sentences, translation, reading, completion, I have repeatedly watched the **brush questions, almost all the real questions and mock questions have been done again, and the final summary of the experience is that no matter what body type, the most important thing is the accumulation of vocabulary, even if each word is memorized three or five times, it is not too much.
I chose a book of Zhu Wei's love words, his ** class looks more relaxed, and the lecture is also very humorous, and it is not tiring to learn.
During the preparation period, I insisted on memorizing words and doing questions every day, so in terms of time planning, I recommend that you make a detailed plan from the beginning of preparing for the exam and complete the Xi tasks on time every day.
2.Politics 63 points: Politics is relatively easy, because I still have some impressions of what I memorized in high school, so I can Xi it faster now.
This course is just to memorize honestly, there is no shortcut, but I recommend that you also pay attention to the mastery and understanding of basic knowledge when memorizing.
I was watching Xiao Xiurong at the time, which contained 1,000 questions, and I brushed it twice, two times in eight sets of papers, and three times in four sets of papers. However, there are more knowledge points in the eight sets of papers and four sets of papers, so the later you do it, the better, so that you can remember it firmly.
3.Mathematics 112 points: I have a poor foundation in mathematics, and I didn't listen to many lectures during my undergraduate years. At that time, I listened to the advice of a senior sister, she told me that no matter how progress other students are, don't panic, you must lay a solid foundation, there is no so-called strengthening stage of mathematics, and after figuring out the knowledge points, doing problems is king.
So I chose to listen to Tang Jiafeng at that time, because his courses focus more on the basics. During the lecture, I only did 1800 basic Xi questions. After laying a solid foundation, I listened to Wu Zhongxiang's intensive class again, and then brushed 660. The line generation suggestion is still Li Yongle's class, which can have a strengthening effect.
4.Professional course 134 points: I chose this major is good, just a set of B station Western University of Technology mechanical design course, but this course pays more attention to theory, but the advantage is easy to understand, the disadvantage is that there are too many small knowledge points, it is more cumbersome to memorize, and it is quite tiring to Xi, I should have read it almost 5 times over and over again.
I read it for the first time and had an impression of the knowledge points of the book. The second time you should be more detailed, memorize as you write, and go through the general chapters, preferably in a notebook.
The third time, I was stressed and I couldn't fall asleep quickly when I was in bed, so I usually turned off the lights, closed my eyes, and went through it in my head.
The fourth and fifth times are to fill in the content according to the chapters written in the notebook before, connect those small knowledge points, and then remove the key points to deepen the memory.
For professional courses, textbooks are the key, we must lay a solid foundation, if you encounter some parts you don't understand, you can find **or find** on the Internet, you can definitely get a high score!
Re-examination experience
The year I took the exam, the re-examination line increased by 60 points compared with the previous year, and the scores were relatively dense, 74 people were admitted to the re-examination and 62 were admitted.
The scores were out, and I found that I had done okay in the exam, and the ranking was within the number of admissions, and the re-examination rules were not announced, so I prepared according to 21. There was still a week before the re-examination when the re-examination line and re-examination details were announced, but the re-examination subject was mechanical design, and the questions I drew were relatively simple.
However, I was not ready for spoken English, and I suffered a bit of a loss in English questions, so I recommend that I prepare well for spoken English, so that I don't get nervous and forget how to answer when the time comes.
The score of the re-examination part is 30 percent, and the total score is equal to (0.).7*Preliminary test score 5)+03* Re-examination score, so one point of the re-examination is equivalent to two points of the initial examination, and the university's awards and results account for 10% of the re-examination, and the final impact is the total score of 015 or so.
Therefore, it is more friendly to students who have hung up courses and salted fish in college. It is also more friendly to students with high scores in the initial examination, and the initial examination is a little higher, so there is no panic in the re-examination.
Conclusion
Postgraduate examination is a difficult challenge, but as long as we work hard to prepare for the exam, correct Xi, and pay attention to the improvement of comprehensive quality, I believe we will be able to successfully go ashore!
But the graduate school entrance examination is also a competition of endurance and mentality, this is a person's journey, and it would be better if there was a research friend to supervise on this road.
If you have any questions you want to ask, you can also leave a message, we learn from each other, I hope my experience sharing can make you less detours in the preparation process. I wish you all success in the postgraduate entrance examination!
