Deserted yards

When I was a child, my parents quarreled, my grandmother always looked at my father, and my mother was always suppressed in the conflict between my mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, and she never raised her head in her life. Now, the quarrels are gone, everything is gone with the wind, and only the deserted courtyard is left, still telling everything that happened here.

That yard used to be my home. At that time, the yard was always full of life and energy. Grandma's yard is full of all kinds of vegetables, melons and fruits, and there is a tall jujube tree, which is full of red dates every autumn. Mother would always be busy in the yard, doing laundry, cooking, feeding the chickens, everything was so orderly.

However, over time, this yard gradually became deserted. My grandmother died, and my father left the house, leaving my mother alone to guard the yard. The vegetables and fruits in the yard have withered, and the jujube trees have stopped bearing fruit, leaving only a few withered yellow leaves swaying in the wind.

I once asked my mother why she didn't leave this yard and go to a new place to start a new life. Mother always shook her head silently, saying that this yard was her root, and she couldn't do without it. I know that my mother has been giving for this family, she has spent most of her life in this yard, and there are so many memories and emotions for her here.

Now, the quarrels are gone, and only this deserted yard remains, still telling everything that once was. I often come back to this yard, look at the ruins, and reminisce about my childhood. It used to be my home, the place where I grew up, and although it is deserted, it still holds an important place in my heart.

Perhaps, life is like this, there are ups and downs, ups and downs. This yard has witnessed the rise and fall of our family, as well as my mother's life. I think that no matter where we are, no matter how many ups and downs we have experienced, we should be like mothers, stick to our roots and cherish our homes.
