Hello prospective graduate students at Southwest University!Welcome to the experience sharing session of Yansheng Postgraduate Entrance Examination. Today, we will dive into the preparation experience of the basic psychology major of **Southwest University, and hope that these valuable suggestions can help you pursue your academic dreams more smoothly.
1. Overview of the basic situation.
I majored in accounting as an undergraduate, and out of my love for psychology and my future career development, I chose to take the cross-examination in psychology. One of the key pieces of advice I want to share when choosing a graduate school is that no matter where you are currently studying, don't limit your goals to schools that are at or below your undergraduate level. You should set yourself a higher but achievable goal. This will not only motivate you to learn, but also help you get better development opportunities after graduation.
At the same time, the location of the school is also a factor that cannot be ignored. You need to consider whether the city is suitable for the future development of your major. Choosing a city that is conducive to professional development can provide you with more practical opportunities and broader employment prospects. Okay, let's share my exam preparation experience with you, you can choose to refer to it!
2. Exam preparation experience.
Specialized courses. March-June Foundation Stage:
The formal preparation for the graduate school entrance examination was in March, and before that, it was self-study, mainly to read through the textbooks, sort out the structural framework, and roughly understand the important knowledge points. I started to study professional courses in March, and I felt relatively clear when I sorted out the structure and framework by myself at the beginning, but when I started the formal class, I realized that I didn't do it particularly right, and I missed a lot of important knowledge points. From March to June, I mainly took professional classes, and the order of endorsement + question conclusion was more organized and clear. Here we must lay a good foundation, we must know what is the key point, and don't find out at the end that we forgot to memorize the key content and left key knowledge points. The order in which I read the books is Puxin, Solid, Statistics, Measurement, Motivation, Teaching Mind, and Social Mind. Learn this way.
July-September consolidation phase:
These two months are the key period of the intensive phase, and the main task is to deepen the understanding and application of knowledge points, as well as to start a lot of problem-solving exercises. At this stage, the course and problem solving need to be combined, not only to learn the key knowledge points through the course, but also to improve the problem-solving ability through the problem-solving.
At this stage, you need to switch from endorsing as a subject to a topic as a supplement. This means that you need to focus more on solving problems and improve your speed and accuracy through a lot of practice. At the same time, it is also necessary to continue to endorse, especially for difficult and key knowledge points, which need to be recited and understood repeatedly.
In terms of endorsement, you need to memorize in a targeted manner, focusing on memorizing difficult points and key knowledge points, and you can temporarily put aside the basic knowledge points. At the same time, in terms of doing questions, you need to start doing big questions and a full set of questions, and stop doing a lot of multiple-choice questions. Mock questions are also a great way to practice and help you familiarize yourself with the exam format and improve your problem-solving skills.
Finally, don't forget to continue endorsing. In the reinforcement phase, endorsement is still one of the important learning tasks. By constantly memorizing and understanding, you can better grasp the knowledge points and prepare for the exam.
October-November Intensive Phase:
These two months are mainly to listen to the intensive stage of the class, this stage began to change from the endorsement of the main topic to the topic of the endorsement of the supplement, or the combination of the course and the question, the intensive course of this stage is mainly to explain the key knowledge points, this stage must be the basic stage of the understanding of the things to figure out, must know that **is the difficulty, **is the key. At the same time, at this stage, the endorsement should not be memorized blindly, but should focus on memorizing the difficulties and key points, and the basic knowledge should be put first. In addition, if you want to do the questions, start doing the big questions, do the full set of questions, and don't do a lot of multiple-choice questions. You can start doing simulations.
Questions, time is tight, tasks are heavy, the level of each institution is uneven, we must pick a better mock question to do, and the most.
It is important not to forget about endorsements at this stage.
December - Pre-exam sprint stage:
At this point, you may find that your memory is gradually improving and the rate of knowledge absorption is accelerating. However, this is not the time to relax, but to continue to memorize more solidly and try to dictate the knowledge points. Only when you can write out all the knowledge points independently, can you really master them. Usually at this stage, you have enough knowledge to take on the challenge of past papers. While there is no need to practice the real questions frequently, a full mock exam once a week is necessary and must be performed strictly according to the timing and standards of the actual exam. That way, in the real exam room, you won't be messed up because of time constraints. Every year, candidates report that there is not enough time for the exam, and this kind of training helps to avoid such problems. The sprint to prepare for the Politics and English exams can also be done in this way.
Politics. I won't go into a specific description of politics, but I will simply share with you the points that should be paid attention to in the preparation for the political exam.
Choose a teacher who suits you: It is very important to choose a good teacher, such as Xiao Xiurong, Xu Tao, and Sister Legs, which are very good, and they are all worth choosing. They have a lot of experience, especially Mr. Xiao, of course, the teacher is all up to personal choice, the teacher is very good, but it is not good for him. You can listen to a few more teachers' trial classes to see if their teaching methods, lecture speed, and class rhythm are suitable for you.
Arrange time reasonably: Start reviewing in July, and focus on reading through the knowledge points and focusing on online classes before September. The main objective of this phase is to establish a holistic understanding of political knowledge and to understand the relationships between the various parts. After September, the recitation will begin, and 1,000 questions will be passed to fill in the gaps. At this point, you need to turn your attention to memorizing and consolidating what you've learned, and test your comprehension by doing questions.
Use mock test questions: In the sprint stage, use "Xiao 4" and "Xiao 8" to practice simulations, complete the test papers according to the duration and standard of the exam, and summarize and memorize the wrong questions. Mock questions allow you to familiarize yourself with the shape of the exam.
formula and requirements to improve the speed and accuracy of answering. At the same time, through reflection and review of mistakes, you can discover yourself.
What knowledge points are deficient, so as to strengthen the learning in a targeted manner.
Complete memorization: By memorizing all 12 sets of papers, you must be able to master all the important knowledge points and answering skills. While it can take a lot of time and effort to memorize completely, this method is very effective in improving test scores. Through memorization, you can deepen your understanding of knowledge points, enhance your memorization, and improve the speed and accuracy of answering questions.
English. Vocabulary memory:
Use a word book that suits you for memorization, such as Chen Zhengkang's "Postgraduate Entrance Examination English Past Exam Super Intensive Reading" or Zhu Wei's "Love Practice with Words" are good word books, and choosing a word book that you feel comfortable with can help you better remember and understand the new vocabulary. You can choose different books depending on your learning style and needs.
Insist on memorizing it every day and reviewing it regularly to maintain long-term memory of the vocabulary. In order to ensure that you can truly master these words, it is important to have a steady study schedule and to memorize a certain number of new words every day. At the same time, you also need to review the vocabulary you have learned regularly to consolidate your memory.
Reading comprehension: You can use Chen Zhengkang's past papers super intensive reading series for basic, improvement and sprint stage learning. This set of books has detailed instructions on reading comprehension and translation, which can help you improve your reading skills at different stages.
Translation and item selection ideas are key, and you need to think more about them in your exercises and refer to the guidance in the book. You can learn how to interpret the text correctly, analyze the requirements of the questions, and then form the correct answer ideas by doing the past questions and referring to the analysis.
Write more and practice more, and constantly summarize answering skills. It is only through a lot of practice that you will become proficient in the techniques and methods of reading comprehension. After each question, reflect on your mistakes and learn from them.
English Composition: Write a real essay every week from July, and compare it with the sample essay. This will help you familiarize yourself with the requirements and format of the exam, and will also give you the opportunity to apply the vocabulary and expressions you have learned.
Accumulate advanced expressions to form your own writing templates. By reading sample essays and referencing excellent English texts, you can accumulate some advanced expressions and incorporate them into your writing, thus improving your composition.
It's not just about memorizing templates, it's about improving your writing skills through imitation and practical exercises. Memorization templates can help you complete your essay in a short period of time, but if you want to get a high score, you need to improve your writing skills and innovation through constant copying and practice.
Retest. I will briefly say that the overall difficulty of the re-examination of psychology in Southwest University is not very difficult, and the re-recording ratio is basically 08. In the re-examination stage, it is rare to brush people. Interviews are generally about English expression and professional knowledge, and Western University attaches great importance to the ability to read literature and experimental design, so when preparing for the re-examination exam, in addition to reviewing the content of the preliminary examination, you can read more Chinese and English literature in psychology. The most important thing is to prepare well for the first test, don't talk about the retest if you don't have the first test, not to mention, the proportion of the first test is still relatively large, you must prepare well!
