The Herb Alpert** Academy (HASOM) at Calarts is dedicated to nurturing the artist as a whole and focuses on the individual path. Faculty and staff are interested in seeing your creations, and these materials can give you an idea of who you are as an artist. You will need to submit a portfolio that showcases your work as a creative artist at this stage of your life.
Portfolio:
Submit three pieces that you think are your best, plus you need to submit your artist statement.
1.Briefly describe your main interest right now.
2.Describe your other hobbies and specialties.
3.Describe the materials you will submit in your digital portfolio and how they demonstrate your interests.
4.Describe what you want to Xi and major.
5.Make a list of our majors that interest you the most, including any combination of majors you may wish to create for yourself at California College of the Arts.
Language Requirements:Undergraduate TOEFL 80, IELTS 65
Audition:**Technical students do not need to attend an interview.
Master's MFA (2 years).
Portfolio:
2-4 minutes of works or live live form of work display, can be ** or hardware related projects or with futuristic, innovative ** creative work display. Plus, you need to discuss why technology is an important part of the artist statement for you.

Professional Xi Program:
Music Technology students work on a wide range of activities, from software design, physical computing for human-computer interaction, mechatronic systems for robotic performance, and courses in many contemporary subjects.
Students take courses in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, acoustics, and mathematics, as well as many courses that emphasize the program's core focus on electronic creation, production, and performance. Students have considerable creative freedom to work on projects, both inside and outside the classroom.
The technology program also fosters collaboration between the various departments of the school and the CalArts as a whole. MT students often work for animation production and sound design, build facilities with the arts and drama departments, and collaborate with other students who are studying Xi world. There are plenty of opportunities to perform at the many events and events held throughout the year at Calarts.
