Day 1: Lanzhou - Zhangye - Jiayuguan.
Departing from Lanzhou in the morning, passing through Zhangye, arriving at Jiayuguan. Here, you can visit the Jiayuguan Great Wall, a well-preserved section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty and one of the World Heritage Sites. Overnight at the hotel in Jiayuguan City.
Day 2: Jiayuguan - Dunhuang.
Depart from Jiayuguan in the morning and head to Dunhuang. Upon arrival, you can visit the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, a grotto full of Buddhist art and one of the World Heritage Sites. In the afternoon, you can relax in downtown Dunhuang or go to the night market in the city.
Day 3: Dunhuang - Crescent Spring - Mingsha Mountain.
In the morning, head to the Crescent Spring, a magical spring that resembles a crescent moon, hence its name. Here you can enjoy unique natural scenery. In the afternoon, you can head to Mingsha Mountain, an oasis in the desert with many temples and caves to visit.
Day 4: Dunhuang - Jiuquan - Zhangye.
Depart from Dunhuang in the morning and head to Jiuquan. Upon arrival, you can visit the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, an important space science and technology base. In the afternoon, return to Zhangye City, and check in to the hotel in Zhangye City in the evening.
Day 5: Zhangye - Xining.
Depart from Zhangye in the morning and head to Xining. Upon arrival, you can visit Qinghai Lake, a beautiful plateau lake and one of the largest inland lakes in China. In the afternoon, rest in Xining city and check in to the hotel in Xining city in the evening.
Day 6: Xining - Lanzhou.
Depart in Xining in the morning and return to Lanzhou. Upon arrival, you will be free to wander around the city of Lanzhou and taste the local cuisine. Overnight stay at a hotel in Lanzhou City.
