HA-SH is a bioactive molecule with hyaluronic acid (HA) and sulfhydryl group (SH) structures. It is a hyaluronic acid with a low relative molecular mass in which some hydroxyl groups are replaced by sulfhydryl groups. This molecular structure gives Ha-SH unique physicochemical properties and biological activity.
HA-SH has good water solubility and biocompatibility. It can form an aqueous solution of hyaluronic acid with high molecular weight in water, which has good rheology and adhesion and can be used as a drug carrier or biomaterial for tissue engineering applications.
HA-SH is highly reducible. Sulfhydryl is a strong reducing agent that reacts with oxidants to act as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
HA-SH also has the effect of promoting cell growth and proliferation. It promotes the proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and vascular endothelial cells, thereby promoting wound healing and tissue regeneration. This property makes HA-SH a potential application value in repair, trauma and tissue engineering.
