What is BIS Certification?

BIS certification is the issuing body responsible for product certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This certification is applicable to manufacturers in any country, and the main certification areas include tires, household appliances, cement and concrete, circuit breakers, steel, energy meters, auto parts, food, milk powder, baby bottles, tungsten lamps, hydraulic furnaces, large transformers, plugs, medium and high voltage wires and cables, etc.

BIS certification process:

This includes steps such as application, documentation, initial factory inspection, issuance of certificates, and post-certification supervision.

Applicants are required to submit the application form and related documents to BIS and pay the corresponding processing fee.

BIS will review the application documents and materials, and assign a ** delegation to the factory for inspection. A certificate may be issued to the applicant if the initial inspection and test results are satisfactory and the applicant agrees to carry out the inspection and testing program approved by BIS and pays the BIS marking fee after certification. The certificate is valid for 1 year, and the holder must pay the identification fee and the annual certificate fee every year.

2.An appointment form proving the presence of a ** person in India, or a supporting document certifying the manufacturer's office in India, and a letter of permission from the Reserve Bank of India;

3.Documents proving the incorporation of the company, such as a certificate of registration;

4.Process flow diagram to illustrate the whole process of product manufacturing;

5.Quality control system;

6.Other details of product or system certification;

7.Detailed information on the components or raw materials used in the manufacture of the product;

8.List of machines manufactured;

9.List of test equipment during testing;

10.Product design drawing;

11.Qualifications of laboratory supervisors, technical and QC staff and detailed details of their experience;

12.Test reports from an accredited independent laboratory or the factory's own laboratory;

13.Schematic diagram of the layout of the plant;

14.Schematic map of the traffic near the factory;

15.Bill of exchange base.
