At present, a variety of respiratory pathogens such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae and influenza viruses are circulating, and many babies have symptoms such as cough. What foods can be given to your baby at home to help relieve cough, clear the lungs, and dissolve phlegm?

On December 22, the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission invited Zheng Shan, deputy director of the Department of Pediatrics and chief TCM physician of Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to teach parents to make several medicinal diets.

There are many types of coughs

Parents listened to it and looked at it

According to Zheng Shan, cough is roughly divided into two categories: cold cough and hot cough, which can be judged by listening to the sound of cough and looking at the color of phlegm.

Generally speaking, the cough is dull and there is phlegm in the throat, which is mostly phlegm cough; The cough is crisp and mostly dry;The phlegm is yellow and viscous, and the phlegm white and rare foam is mostly a cold coughNasal congestion and pusular discharge are wind-heat cough, and nasal congestion and runny nose are wind-cold cough.

Parents can use the above methods to determine the type of cough of the baby, and then choose the corresponding medicinal diet for conditioning.

For each type of cough, she recommended two kinds of medicinal diets, one for porridge or soup, and the other for tea, which is convenient for parents to use.

Generally, the medicinal diet is used for 5-7 days, and the medicinal diet can be stopped after the child's disease improves and he recovers.

It should be noted that if the Chinese medicine in the medicinal diet is duplicated with the medicinal herbs in the oral proprietary Chinese medicine, the drug needs to be removed from the medicinal diet to avoid excessive dosage of the single medicine.
