The blockade of Asia's largest enclave has been a hundred years of hatred, and the motherland has been separated from each other for nearly a hundred years

Enclaves are not uncommon, like the United States and Alaska have only Canada between them, so they become enclaves. For example, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Lithuania seceded from Belarus, and Kaliningrad in Russia became an occupied country. But judging by the current situation, relations between the two regions are not very good, at least not to the point of hostility. Only Asia, the largest land, has been able to maintain hostile relations with its own country for a hundred years, and to this day, the two countries remain isolated from each other and do not interact with each other.

In fact, the south of Transcaucasia is divided into the Eurasian border West Asia region, so Azerbaijan belongs to West Asia, and the Azerbaijani enclave becomes the largest territory in Asia, which Armenia has claimed for centuries - Nakhichevan. The "deep hatred" between the two countries has lasted for hundreds of years, and neither side has any connection.

The story of Nakhichevan is endless, and the Bible records the first city that Noah founded after the Great Flood, hence the Armenian language. However, most historians believe that Nakhichevandi's army was formed in the Persian province of Armenia and joined Alexander in the failed Greek wars. Later, it experienced the domination of Armenian, Byzantine, Arab, Georgian, Mongolian, Turkish and other great powers, all starting from strategic points on the Eurasian border.

Nakhichevan did not have a peaceful and prosperous era from Eastern Europe to Western Asia, and in the sixteenth century, the Safavid dynasty and Turkey became their battlefield, and the war between the two sides lasted for forty-six years. In the 19th century, Tsarist Russia ruled the country and became a vassal state of Armenia, when Armenians made up 57% and Azerbaijanis made up 42%, and the two main ethnic groups clashed under Tsarist rule.

While busy with their own affairs in 195, the two main ethnic groups killed each other within their jurisdiction, resulting in the destruction of 128 Armenian villages and 158 villages and villages in Azerbaijan. Since then, the relationship between the two has been irreconcilable, and they have become "sworn enemies", even razing each other's temples to the ground and burning them to the ground. After World War I, Russia handed over the land to Transcaucasia, and the Ottoman Empire took the opportunity to occupy it, and it was not until the appearance of Britain that peace was restored to the land.

But the USSR did not give up, and soon after its creation, it was annexed by Armenia, and Azerbaijan was forced to return Nakhichevan to Armenia. In a show of fairness and for the sake of legalizing the referendum, 90 per cent of the Nakhichhe people wanted to join Azerbaijan, which was unexpected. Under Ottoman and Soviet rule, large numbers of Armenians were driven out of their homes, the number of Azerbaijanis swelled to ninety-nine percent, and finally, the Soviet Union took over the referendum until the collapse of the country.

It is said that the collapse of the USSR was the greatest loss for those small countries, and Nakhichevan was forgotten, after all, all allies could redivide the territory, but Nakhichevan did not have a fixed ally. In the 80s of the last century, both Armenia and Azerbaijan declared territory to Turkey, the "Battle of Nagorno-Karabakh", Turkey sent troops to warn that Russia would send 100,000 troops to contain Turkey, and since then, Nakhichevan has been regarded as the territory of Azerbaijan, which is also the only land in the world that has no historical grievances.

In 1990, the region shrank to 5,500 square kilometers with about 700,000 inhabitants (2015) and was approved as an autonomous region of Azerbaijan (state). However, Nakhichevan has a border of 204 kilometers, Armenia 246 kilometers long, and Turkey 15 kilometers long, that is, it has cut off ties with its own country, and Iran has no ability to protect itself because of the sanctions, so Nakhichevan is only 15 kilometers away from Turkey. Nakhichhe 10,000 people** Turkish TV shows, using Turkish networks, participating in Turkish celebrations, is also their first reason.

From the point of view of natural resources, Nakhichevan is known as a "treasure", with a particularly rich mineral resource of metals, hundreds of products sold in more than 80 countries around the world; It is one of the few fertile places in the Caucasus, with fertile land, abundant water in the mountains, and most of the agricultural products produced are shipped to Turkey for production and sale, as well as some meat and dairy products are also sold to Iran. But in reality, the average salary of the Nakhichhe people is only 70% of that of Azerbaijan, so they have always received help from Turkey.

It is worth mentioning that the tourism industry in Nakhichevan is very developed, starting from the Caucasus Mountains and extending to the north-western territories, which are the natural barrier of the United Nations, and a trip in May will reveal that there are many more plants here than in the surrounding countries, among which Turkey and Iran are part of it, while there are less than 20,000 domestic tourists, mainly due to the fact that Armenia has blocked all routes to Azerbaijan, and the cost of transferring flights from Iran is too high, which is also a very rare thing.
