China's manufacturing purchasing managers' index was 49% in December, down 0.0 from the previous month4 percentage points.

From the perspective of key industries, the new kinetic energy industry continued to grow steadily. The purchasing managers' index of equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing in December was 502% and 503%, higher than the overall level of the manufacturing industry, continued to maintain expansion.
Looking at the main sub-indexes, the production index in December was 502%, running in the expansion range for 7 consecutive months, indicating that manufacturing production continued to maintain a moderate increase. From the perspective of industries, the production index of wood processing and furniture, metal products, general equipment, electrical machinery and equipment and other industries is at a high operating level of more than 54%, and the production of related industries is growing rapidly. The production index of textile, petroleum, coal and other fuel processing, non-metallic mineral products and other industries is below the critical point, and the production capacity of enterprises is insufficient.
In addition, the expected index of production and business activities in December was 559%, rising for three consecutive months, and manufacturing enterprises continue to increase their confidence in market development.

The non-manufacturing business activity index has rebounded.
From the perspective of the non-manufacturing industry, the business activity index, which reflects the overall operation of the non-manufacturing industry in December, continued to rise within the expansion range, and the expansion of the non-manufacturing industry accelerated. In terms of industries, the prosperity level of the service industry was the same as that of the previous month, the construction progress of the construction industry accelerated, and the prosperity level rebounded.
The index of non-manufacturing business activity in December was 504%, up 02 percentage points, the expansion of non-manufacturing has accelerated. The business activity expectation index was 603%, up 05 percentage points, up from the previous month for two consecutive months. The continuous rise in the business activity expectation index means that the company's future market expectations continue to show a positive trend.
By sector, the business activity index of the service sector was unchanged from the previous month. Affected by the recent cold wave and other factors, the market activity of some service industries related to travel consumption is weak, among which the business activity index of water transportation, air transportation, accommodation, resident services and other industries is less than 46%.
