A few years ago, I followed the trend and raised some succulent "stone" raw stone flowers, at that time, I looked short and fat very cute and raised, but I didn't expect to be surprised recently, it actually bloomed, and the flowers are quite beautiful, really amazing. Today, I will share with you how to maintain the raw stone flower.
It is a perennial succulent herb of the Apricot family, which generally takes about 3 years to bloom, and most varieties bloom in October-November. It is not difficult to maintain, and it is similar to other common succulent maintenance, mainly paying attention to the following 3 points:
First, the soil should be loose and breathable
Raw stone flower is very drought tolerant and barren, in the soil should pay attention to more granular soil, increase water permeability, you can use peat soil + red jade soil 2:8 ratio (red jade soil can also be replaced with other granular soil, such as sunrise stone), or directly use raw stone flower special soil, reduce the probability of black rot and water.
Second, watering should be less or less
The watering of raw stone flowers must not be too much, otherwise it is easy to grow into "long legs", which will cause the flowers to not bloom. During the growth period of the raw stone flower, you can properly control the water, and wait until it is a little wrinkled, and it is a little soft and empty with your hands.
It should be noted here that the summer high temperature period and the molting period from February to April should be paid attention to water control and not too much watering. In the early stage of flowering, it can be watered and maintained normally.
3. The light should be bright and sufficient
Like other succulents, they like to have sufficient light, at least 6 hours of light a day, in spring and autumn, they can be placed outdoors in the open air for maintenance, and in winter the temperature below 10 should be moved to the indoor south-facing window sill or balcony for maintenance, and in the summer rainy season, it should also be put indoors for maintenance, and add fill lights to supplement the light artificially.
If you want to flower, you can add some slow-release fertilizer every time you change the pot, or bury some flower-promoting fertilizer in the early stage of flowering, but flowering will consume a lot of nutrients, and fertilizer should be supplemented in time after flowering, if you don't want to try to sow seeds, don't leave pollination and seeds. If you have a health stone flower, you can leave a message and exchange maintenance experience together.
