On December 10, 2023 Eastern Time (December 11, Beijing time), Royal Caribbean International Cruises (hereinafter referred to as Royal Caribbean), the world's largest luxury cruise brand, launched a 275-day round-the-world route from Miami, with about 500 tourists from China, who accompanied tourists from other countries around the world to board the Royal "Melody of the Seas" to participate in the longest epic circumnavigation trip in history.

It is reported that the "Royal 275-Day Round-the-World Route" will depart from the cruise capital of the world, sail in the direction of the rising sun, cross the equator twice, sail 4 oceans, visit more than 150 wonderful destinations in 60 countries on 7 continents, experience 11 wonders of the world along the way, and return to Miami on September 10, 2024. The voyage is divided into four sections: North and South America and Antarctica, which conquer the natural wonders, Asia and South Pacific, which explore the mysteries of the East and the Ocean, West Asia and the Mediterranean, and the Mediterranean, Nordic and Atlantic that cross the North, including 57 new and exclusive destinations for Royal Caribbean.

With the opening of China's outbound travel, overseas cruise products have returned to the public's attention, and ultra-long routes and more in-depth global cruise products have also become a popular choice for tourists to travel overseas. Most of the tourists are vacationers, experienced travelers, who tend to plan their trips ahead of time, and who have a strong desire to explore the unknown. The popularity of global routes among Chinese tourists reflects the accelerating release of tourism consumption demand that has been accumulated for more than three years, and the trend of consumers pursuing diversified travel and their eager yearning for cruise travel on the other hand.

In April next year, the round-the-world route will also call at Tianjin, which is also the only port of call in Chinese mainland on the route. The Melody of the Seas will bring international visitors from all over the world to visit Tianjin, visit the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and other tourist landmarks in Beijing, providing an excellent window into China's rich cultural heritage.

Over the past decade, Royal Caribbean, as the world's leading international travel company, has provided Chinese consumers with a new, highly satisfying and family-friendly vacation method by deploying international flagship cruise ships in the Chinese market. At the same time, through Royal Caribbean's own marketing resources, brand international influence, global distribution system and huge membership system, it does destination marketing for China's coastal cities around the world, attracts global tourists to enter China to take cruise ships, helps promote inbound and outbound tourism, promotes cultural and public opinion exchanges between China and foreign countries, and highlights the social and economic contribution of international cruise ships to China.
