A series of academic lectures on Chinese contemporary art

The Academic Lectures on Chinese Contemporary Art is a new key academic project launched during the Special Exhibition of the 20th Anniversary of the Founding of Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, hosted by Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art. Focusing on the theme of "Chinese Contemporary Art", this series of lectures will invite the most important art historians, critics, curators and other experts from diverse academic backgrounds to focus on issues related to Chinese contemporary art, and hope to look back and reflect on the development and changes of Chinese contemporary art in the past two decades with the help of different aspects of their respective research fields.

On December 10th (Sunday), the second lecture of the Iteration 20 - Chinese Contemporary Art Lecture Series "Looking Back on the Past 20 Years - Changes in the Ecological Environment of Chinese Contemporary Art" will be held

Keynote speaker

Fei Dawei. As the second event of the "Iteration 20 - Chinese Contemporary Art Lecture Series", Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art invited Mr. Fei Dawei, curator, critic and member of the Collection Committee of the Cartier Contemporary Art Association. From a personal perspective, he will try to sort out the time period, important phenomena and links of Chinese contemporary art after 2000, as well as the main problems raised. The lectures will cover the contours of the 80s and 90s, the 2000 Shanghai Biennale, the 2003 Venice Biennale, the Ullens Conference, the opening exhibition of UCCA, the significant influence of Hedging on Chinese contemporary art, and some new changes after 2010.
