Lu Bu, the god-like existence in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, is also an enemy of 10,000 people in history, and he has never been defeated in a single battle. His performance in Cao Wei's wheel battle, or the battle with Sanying, can be said to have never fallen behind. Compared with his brothers in the back row, one Lu, two Zhao, three Dian Wei, four passes, five horses and six Zhang Fei, Lu Bu's prestige is not inferior at all. However, when facing three extraordinary opponents, namely two Li and one horse, Lu Bu was repeatedly easily handled.

The first person to disintegrate Lu Bu was Li Su in the second Li. This strategist, who had dealt with Lu Bu twice, easily grasped the situation. The story takes place in Dong Zhuo's entry into Chang'an and the conflict with Ding Yuan. Ding Yuan's righteous son Lu Bu bravely defeated the enemy army, making Dong Zhuo want to dig the foot of the wall. So, Li Su successfully persuaded Lu Bu to surrender on the grounds that he was a fellow villager with Lu Bu, only at the cost of a red rabbit horse. This Li Su is said to be a descendant of Li Guang, brave and good at war, witty and agile, and exchanged a horse for Lu Bu's attachment.

However, Lu Bu killed his father-in-law Ding Yuan at that time and took refuge in Dong Zhuo. The driving force behind all this is the beauty spy expert Diao Chan. The reason why Lu Bu killed his father-in-law was mainly because of the attraction of the red rabbit horse, and it was Diao Chan himself who killed the second father-in-law.

Lu Bu was scolded, not only because he killed his father-in-law many times, but Liu Bei was still forgiven after six or seven times. The more important reason is that Lu Bu's threshold is too low, and only a horse and a maid are needed to cause tragedy. This kind of low-threshold betrayal, which was easily handled by Li and Ma, made Lu Bu's image much criticized.

The second person who brought Lu Bu down was Li Jin. There are few historical records of Li Jin, and the Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms only mentions his battle against Cao Cao and Lü Bu for Yanzhou. In the Battle of Yanzhou, Lü Bu had only a few hundred troops under his command, and Li Jin led this meager army to meet the battle, and actually defeated Lü Bu in a heads-up and drove him to Juye. The heroic performance of this little man made a turning point for Lu Bu and Cao Cao.

Lü Bu is an interesting character, and his sincerity towards Diao Chan and his contradictory game with Liu Bei and Yuan Shu make him a dramatic character in ancient history. If he can take the big man seriously, he can fight no matter how powerful the opponent is, but in front of the small man, he repeatedly overturns because of arrogance. The victory or defeat of this battle is not fully written in the romance, but in fact it is a key contest between Cao Cao and Lu Bu, and it is a turning point in the history of the two heroes.
