Whether in life or work, we will come into contact with a lot of documents involving sensitive content such as personal information, project plans, ** forms, and company secrets. Once these documents are leaked, it will cause significant losses to us as individuals or businesses. To prevent this from happening, file encryption becomes a necessity.

So, how do you encrypt your files?

Today, Kongkong will introduce you to three simple and easy-to-use file encryption methods.

Windows comes with a built-in file encryption function.

The steps are as follows:

Select the file you want to encrypt, right-click Properties, and click Advanced.

Select Encrypt content to protect data, and click OK to complete the file encryption.

Note:

The encrypted file password is the administrator password of the current computer by default, which can be opened directly on the current computer, and only has the encryption effect on other computers.

Files can be password-protected using compression software such as Winrar, 7-Zip, etc.

Taking WinRAR as an example, the steps are as follows:

Right-click the file to be compressed, and select Add to Compressed File.

Click [Set Password], enter the password to confirm, and then click [OK].

At this point, the document becomes a compressed file, and you need to enter a password to unzip and view it.

Note:

If you forget your password, you can't open it, so keep your password safe.

Sikong is a quantum key encryption software, which is easy to operate, and can be encrypted with one click.

The steps are as follows:

Open Sikong, select the file, and click [Encrypt].

The file format changes after using Sikong encryption and can only be viewed after decryption on Sikong.

After the file is encrypted, whether it is shared through social software such as WeChat and QQ, or stored locally, U disk, hard disk, and network disk, there is no need to worry about security issues. Because even if a leak occurs during file transfer and storage, the file is in a state of strong encryption, which can effectively prevent unauthorized decryption and access.
