**Paris, Feb. 18 -- From February 15 to 16, Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye and his wife Wang Liwen were invited to visit the cities of Deauville and Le Havre in the Normandy region of France.

During the visit, Lu Shaye met with the Mayor of Deauville, Mr. Ogier, and the Mayor of Le Havre, and former Prime Minister Philippe. Mayor Ogier and Mayor Philippe warmly welcomed Lu Shaye and his delegation to Normandy, praised the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the Year of Culture and Tourism, introduced the economic and social development of the two cities, reviewed the history of exchanges between the two cities with China, and expressed their positive desire to deepen cooperation with China in various fields.
In Deauville, accompanied by Mayor Ogier, Lu Shaye inspected the Les Franciscarenes Cultural Center, the International Conference Center, and the city's Olympic standard sports venues, and met with Mayor Ogier. In Le Havre, Lu Shaye visited COSCO Shipping's overseas warehouses, Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris joint port authorities (Haropa) dispatch centers, and exchanged views with representatives of local universities and enterprises.
In Le Havre, Lu Shaye extended New Year greetings to local overseas Chinese, representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises and international students, learned more about their lives, production and studies, encouraged them to continue to contribute to Sino-French friendship, and distributed Spring Festival "warm heart packs" to them.
