Since its establishment, the Pinggang Neighborhood Committee has vigorously implemented various measures of "Neighborhood Watch to Help the Elderly" in the community, with the neighborhood mutual aid project as the starting point, the community strength as the carrier, and the residents' needs as the guide, so as to escort the daily life of the elderly living alone in the jurisdiction.
Keep up with the old projects
With the acceleration of the aging of the population, the Pinggang Neighborhood Committee actively optimizes the elderly care services, takes the safety of the elderly living alone as the yardstick, carries out the "old partner plan", and selects a group of caring, patient and careful volunteers to visit the elderly 2 or 3 times a week, and timely grasp the dynamics of each key focus object.
At the same time, establish a list of the elderly in the community, update and grasp the base, distribution and specific situation of the elderly living alone in a timely manner, take caring for the elderly living alone as the focus of daily work, cooperate with volunteers to carry out door-to-door condolence services and update the final number in a timely manner, and jointly build a new pattern of elderly care services for the elderly living alone.
Weaving a dense network of services for the elderly
On the basis of the project for the elderly, the Pinggang Neighborhood Committee established a WeChat group of "Elderly People Living Alone to Report Safety". Through the daily WeChat group's safety report, we can learn whether the daily life of the elderly living alone is normal and whether their physical condition is sick, and through the grid volunteer team, we are responsible for the safety of the elderly living alone in each grid, and constantly improve the elderly assistance services, and strive to achieve full coverage of the service.
Uncle Zhang is a member of the volunteer team, he usually takes the initiative to deal with the neighbors, whenever the neighbors are in trouble, he is always willing to come to help them, and his kindness also unexpectedly saved his own life. One day, the grid volunteers suddenly found that Uncle Zhang, who is usually very active in the group, was very quiet today, without any news, everyone was worried about whether Uncle Zhang had an accident, and then came to the door to understand the situation, and found that he had a sudden cerebral infarction and sat at home unable to move, and immediately sent him to the hospital for treatment, because the hospital was sent in time, saving his life.
The "little old" helps the "old man" to make the neighbors "relatives".
Under the call and influence of the neighborhood committee, a group of helpful and selfless "civil volunteers" have emerged from the residents of Pinggang community, who use practical actions to carry forward the fine tradition of meticulous care, respect for the elderly and help the elderly, and take the initiative to help the elderly in need in the community.
Many of the volunteers are themselves elderly, and Uncle Wu, an 80-year-old retired party member with children abroad, is one of them. He is usually always enthusiastic to take the initiative to help the 88-year-old Aunt Huang who lives alone in the same building, and goes upstairs to his home at noon every day, one to see if Aunt Huang is in good physical condition, and the other to help do some daily chores such as changing water and taking out garbage, day after day, he is never absent, he uses an old party member sincerity and exemplary spirit to convey the warmth of the neighborhood, Aunt Huang always said before she died, I moved to this community to move too worthwhile. At the same time, in his free time, he also teaches the children in the community to do handicrafts, contributing to the creation of a community atmosphere of harmony and mutual help.
