On February 17, 1979, the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out.
Vietnam's long-term provocations have made China unbearable, and this war is about border security.
Judging by the data, the war was going well. Because, in less than a month, the squadron has advanced more than 100 kilometers along the line, and even almost entered the capital of Vietnam, after this war, Vietnam is no longer able to wage a large-scale war.
So, many years later, when people mention this war, they will think that it was a relatively easy battle, but this is not the case, peace has always been bought with countless sacrifices.
In the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, the squadron suffered more than 27,000 casualties.
Later, it was discovered that many of the victims were from military families, and some of their fathers were chiefs.
For the sons of these chiefs, fighting for the country is a matter engraved in their blood, and there are ten young people who are representative of them.
In 1984, China once released a movie with the background of the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam - "Garland Under the Mountain", in which there is a very popular character called Little Beijing.
At the end of the movie, Xiao Beijing died on the battlefield, and at this time, his identity and background were revealed, and it turned out that he was the son of Commander Lei.
This story has a historical prototype, the name of Little Beijing in reality is Zhang Li, and his father is Zhang Zhixin, commander of the 160th Division of the 54th Army of the People's Liberation Army.
Zhang Zhixin only has this one son, so he naturally loves him in every way. However, when his son wanted to join the army, Zhang Zhixin agreed without hesitation.
For the father and son, the responsibility of the state always prevails above all else.
At that time, Zhang Zhixin left a sentence for his son:"Don't embarrass you! ”
And in the end, Zhang Zhang really didn't disgrace his father. In 1979, the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out, and the young Zhang Li went to the battlefield, and his father had already led troops to Vietnam.
Both father and son were in Vietnam, but they never met.
Because, not long after the war, Zhang Zhixin got the news.
His son Zhang Li's 478th Regiment met the enemy on the high ground, and a fierce battle broke out between the two sides. As the deputy squad leader, Zhang Li fought bravely, fought bloody battles with the enemy, and finally was seriously injured and died.
The last words he left before his sacrifice were:"Please tell my father that his son has not disgraced him, and advise him not to be sad and to take care of my mother. ”
Little Beijing also has a prototype called Luo Yuening.
Luo Yuening's father, Luo Rong, was the deputy chief of staff of the Guangzhou Military Region and an old friend of General Xu Shiyou.
Luo Yuening joined the army early and enlisted in the army at the age of 16. Therefore, when the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out, he was already the deputy company commander in the army.
Luo Yuening. It's just that no one knows that he was born in a military family, Luo Yuening has always concealed his identity, and he doesn't want his comrades-in-arms to look at him differently because of this.
When the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out, Luo Yuening took the initiative to ask his superiors to go to the front, and this news alarmed Xu Shiyou, and he hurriedly ran to persuade him personally.
Because Xu Shiyou knows that Luo Yuening is Luo Rong's only son, if he dies on the front line, then how can his father bear it? Luo Rong is an old revolutionary, and he has sacrificed a lot for the revolution all his life, how can he let his son suffer such danger again?
However, Luo Yuening said that no matter who his father was, he decided to go to the front line.
Since he has joined the People's Liberation Army, he is ready to sacrifice for the country at any time.
And after Luo Rong learned about this incident, he also persuaded Xu Shiyou in turn that he supported his son's decision to go to the front, even if the road ahead was full of dangers.
Soon after entering Vietnam, Luo Yuening's unit received an order from their superiors to seize the high ground.
However, the situation was very unfavorable for us, and the Vietnamese army mobilized a large number of troops to encircle us, and our side soon fell into a bitter battle, and many of our soldiers were seriously wounded.
So, Luo Yuening immediately led his comrades-in-arms to carry out rescue work, he rushed to the most dangerous place again and again, carried his comrades-in-arms off, and went back and forth four times in total.
He was seriously injured in the round-trip, but he didn't realize it, and he was still running back and forth.
When he returned to his position for the fourth time, the enemy noticed him, a shell exploded beside him, and he did not have time to dodge, and his life was forever frozen at the age of 26.
Another soldier who died was named Qu Ningjiang, his father served as the deputy chief of staff in the army, and he was also the son of Jiangmen, Qu Ningjiang's performance was also good, in the army, he was a well-known sharpshooter, and he hit every shot.
People were impressed with this young little warrior.
When I first met him, because of his handsome appearance, people subconsciously thought that he couldn't fight, but as soon as he went to the battlefield, he showed a brave temperament that did not match his appearance, and every bullet he shot accurately penetrated the enemy's body.
After a period of time, everyone learned that Qu Ningjiang had been in the army for less than a year. According to the regulations, he was not qualified to go to the battlefield, and he applied several times, but the troops rejected them.
Qu Ning River. It was his father, Chief of Staff Qu, who applied directly to his superiors and personally sent his son to the most dangerous front.
The accident happened in the middle of the night, the troops were ambushed by the enemy, Qu Ningjiang's unit was responsible for escorting the wounded, when the enemy bullets strafed, Qu Ningjiang subconsciously pounced on the wounded.
A bullet hit him, blood gushed out, Qu Ningjiang endured the severe pain and continued to move forward, the enemy was still strafing.
When the second bullet came, Qu Ningjiang still stood in front of his teammates without hesitation. At this time, he had no strength to stand up, and 20-year-old Qu Ningjiang muttered about his father and mother's ......
However, he never got back on his feet. When people told his father the bad news, his elderly father said to Qu Ningjiang's superiors:"When I agreed to help him go to the front, I was ready for him to die at any time. ”
He did not allow his grief to be expressed, but it is known that in the days that followed, the father went to his son's grave again and again, took his son's clothes, and wept silently.
The day after Qu Ningjiang's death, the troops were again besieged by the enemy. In order to turn the tide, we decided to send tank forces.
However, due to technical limitations, the tank's field of view was narrow, so a fighter had to stay on the outside of the tank to provide a direction for his comrades to attack.
One of the men in charge of this dangerous mission was Cao Hui, who had just turned 18 years old, the youngest in the entire company.
He was a clever and agile man, and as soon as he got on the tank, he immediately pinpointed the enemy's position, and under his command, the tank unit dealt an orderly blow to the enemy.
However, despite the great power of the tank, Cao Hui was extremely dangerous when he was exposed, and sure enough, the enemy had already pointed his guns at him.
At that time, no one noticed that the Vietnamese army with a firepower point quietly escaped, and then ambushed behind Cao Hui.
While Cao Hui was still hanging outside the tank to command, a bullet passed through his chest, and he fell to the ground, quickly stopping to breathe.
And when people were handling the funeral affairs for this 18-year-old little soldier, they found out that his background was extraordinary, and his father Cao Conglian was the commander of the 446th Regiment of the 149th Division of the 50th Army.
Geng Jinfu, deputy chief of staff of the 50th Division of the 150th Army, lost his two sons in this war - Geng Jun and Geng Xiaokang.
The two brothers were born in **, and at that time Geng Jinfu was stationed in ** to carry out liberation work.
The two brothers of the same age have been naughty since childhood, which has given their father a headache. No one thought that in the end, these two lively and lovely children would die together on the battlefield.
When the news of the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam came, the two brothers immediately planned to follow in their father's footsteps and join the army to serve the country, but they couldn't bear to tell their father the news.
Because, they know the danger of the battlefield. Over the years, my mother felt a lot of trepidation every time she remembered the dangers that my father had experienced on the battlefield.
But the state was calling them, so they ended up signing the application without telling the whole family.
The father didn't know the news until the two sons enlisted in the army, he didn't say anything, the duty of a soldier is to defend the country, and he was proud of the decisions made by his two sons.
At the beginning of March, the two brothers' company was driven to the edge of a cliff by the enemy, running out of ammunition and food, so they engaged in fierce hand-to-hand combat with the enemy.
Geng Xiaokang is determined to use his sacrifice to exchange for a chance to break through for everyone. So, he rushed out with several soldiers of the death squad and killed him all the way to the enemy.
The enemy's bayonet quickly pierced him in the heart, and the dense bullets made several bloody holes in his body, and the 18-year-old fell like this.
Geng Jun witnessed all this, and he continued to charge forward with grief and indignation.
On the position, Geng Jun led the soldiers to continue to hold out for two days and two nights.
However, the reinforcements did not arrive for a long time, and there were not many people left alive on the position, and in the end, Geng's army was wounded in many places all over his body, and he could no longer continue to kill the enemy.
He did not want to be a prisoner, and after shooting his own bullets, he leaped into the abyss, leaving no bones left.
"Dear father and mother, we decided to go to the battlefield in Vietnam soon after. The sons are not filial, which worries the second elder. If we don't return, please don't be sad and live strongly. Our two brothers have nothing outside their bodies, only this only 12 yuan and a straw mat, the straw mat can be given to Geng Tao's brother to join the army, and the 12 yuan is reserved for the second elder. Sincerely, military salute! Son: Geng Jun, Geng Xiaokang, February 10, 1979, Jiuligeng. ”This suicide note was written by the brothers before they went to war. It turned out that they had already been ready to sacrifice, and after receiving this suicide note, his father burst into tears, but he finally choked up and said:"I don't regret it! ”
Zhou Wei also secretly signed up for the army, and his father Zhou Kaiyuan was the political commissar of the 121st Division.
When he was young, Zhou Kaiyuan was injured many times on the battlefield and suffered a lot, so at first, Zhou Kaiyuan didn't want his son to join the army, let alone let his son go to the battlefield.
However, the tiger father has no dogs, just like Zhou Kaiyuan back then, Zhou Wei is a stubborn person, and he filled out the enlistment registration form.
When he saw his son in military uniform come to him, Zhou Kaiyuan let out a long sigh, but he finally acquiesced.
Later, father and son came to the battlefield in Vietnam together. The night before leaving home, Zhou Kaiyuan stared at his son for a long time, how afraid he was that his beloved son would be injured or sacrificed on the battlefield, but he couldn't stop his son.
Because at this time it is a time when the country is in danger, and if his son does not go to war, who will he let go?
So Zhou Kaiyuan said to his son:"You have to obey the command of the organization and train down-to-earth! ”
Zhou Kaiyuan didn't expect that this was the last time the father and son met.
When he received the news of his son's death, Zhou Kaiyuan regretted it countless times, why, he didn't say a few more words to his son that day?
Zhou Wei died in a Vietnamese army encirclement, the enemy was outnumbered, but Zhou Wei did not embarrass his father, he fought until the last moment, until his death, he still maintained a fighting posture. On that day, Zhou Wei had just celebrated his 20th birthday.
Jiang Xieyuan, deputy commander of the Guangzhou Military Region, also sent his two sons to the front. But in the end, it was the younger brother who returned to his hometown with his brother's ashes.
Jiang Xieyuan's sacrificial son is named Jiang Luping. When Jiang Luping was 14 years old, he enlisted in the army under the influence of his father, this is a very outstanding young man, five years after enlistment, he became a company commander, known for his combat bravery.
In time, his future is limitless. However, he left his life forever on the battlefield in Vietnam, and during the Vietnam War, Jiang Luping's company was on a reconnaissance mission.
During the exchange of fire, our artillery was unable to confirm the enemy's position due to the delay. Therefore, Jiang Luping led several soldiers to go into battle lightly, risking great danger to bypass the enemy's position and help the troops confirm their position.
But this action also led to Jiang Luping's exposure, and when he started to act again, the enemy had already set a trap. As soon as he was behind enemy lines, several machine guns fired at him.
Jiang Luping endured severe pain and still fought with the enemy, and finally died heroically.
When he was found, his eyes had been closed forever, and the 26-year-old had not even had time to say a last word.
Zhao Likuan, political commissar of the Logistics Department of the Guangzhou Military Region, was shocked to hear the bad news after the end of the war, and his son Zhao Youlin also died in the war.
Zhao Youlin is the instructor of the company, very young, and his unit has been carrying out the most dangerous interspersed missions, maneuvering with the enemy in the secret jungle, which dooms them to a greater probability of sacrifice than other troops.
Zhao Youlin was unfortunately hit by a grenade when he was in charge of covering his teammates, and the grenade blew his face blurred, and it took a lot of effort for his comrades to recognize the martyr who died as Zhao Youlin.
At that time, his father was organizing logistical volunteer work in the rear. When the news came, the whole family didn't dare to reveal the news to Zhao Likuan, until the end of the war, the news could no longer be hidden, and at that moment, Zhao Likuan's heart was like a knife.
Peng Hong also died on the battlefield in Vietnam, and his father was the deputy commander of the air force of the Nanjing Military Region. Because of his father's work, Peng Hong's dream since childhood was to become an air force pilot, but in the end, he entered the army to serve.
Soon after, a self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out. Peng Hong, who is shrewd, became the captain of the reconnaissance team.
He is a very good intelligence officer, and for the troops, Peng Hong is clairvoyant and obedient, and he can accurately capture the enemy's movements every time.
He earned himself a second-class meritorious medal, but this medal was only given after his death, and he could no longer wear it on his military uniform.
Before leaving his hometown for Vietnam, Peng Hong made many promises to his father and mother. He said countless times: He will return to his hometown, he will come back with a military medal, and he will become the pride of his father.
However, he could no longer talk to his father, and his brilliant life came to an abrupt end on the battlefield in Vietnam.
These young people who died on the battlefield in Vietnam were worthy of the teachings of their fathers and the trust of the motherland, and they defended the stability of the motherland with their lives.
In the martyrs' cemetery, their tombstones stand quietly, people are full of flowers in front of the martyrs' graves, and their stories will never be forgotten.
