Today's protagonists are a romantic couple, but as life stages change, children, work, and trivial matters become routine. These changes have made their lives hectic and hectic, and gradually become the norm.

For their new home, the biggest expectation was to create a tranquil space with an artistic feel that would allow them to get away from the hustle and mind and focus on themselves. After 6 months of construction, their dream home finally came true.

Original floor plan

The original unit is 128 with three bedrooms and two living rooms, which are square, transparent, and have plenty of natural light, with a spacious living room and balcony, and circulation runs through all spaces. However, the spaces are closed, the sense of flow is poor, and it seems a little depressing, which is still unsatisfactory for owners who like a sense of openness.

Renovation highlights

Rearrange the structure.

In order to meet the owner's open needs, the designer made the following adjustments:

1. Integrate the closed balcony to create a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing sunlight to freely shuttle through the entire space.

2. Remove the partition wall between the kitchen and the dining room to create an open kitchen space, and skillfully use the card seat to divide the functional area.

3. Reconstruct the layout of the bathroom and the second bedroom, and place the washstand in the aisle to improve the convenience of the circulation line.

In order to highlight the openness of the living room, the floor is made of straight wood, the top of the wall is turned white close to the wood core, and the art paint and latex paint are blended to create a subtle light and shadow texture, providing a relaxed feeling for returning home.

There is no main lamp design in the living room, and the balcony is included, which retains the integrity and allows the line of sight to swim the entire space.

According to the owner's needs, there is no TV in the living room, and the projection screen is cleverly hidden in the chandelier, which unfolds to become a display table. The black lines are matched with Rothko's color paintings, releasing soft emotions and full of artistic mood.

The transition at the top of the wall is curved to avoid the cold and hard feeling caused by rigid lines. Vertical louvers let out clear daylight, and the dark sofa forms a classic harmony of white lightness and black stability.

The balcony door opening is designed with simple line stacking, inspired by the geometric shape of Art Deco, avoiding the feeling of redundant stacking.

The owner likes to work in the open area, so he integrates the office space with the living room. In order to maintain a sense of spaciousness, the projection area was left blank, and the main activity area was concentrated on the other side, creating a "quadruple scene" for different functions and life scenes.

In natural light, the smooth lacquer and birch grain create a sense of tranquility and tranquility, as if creating an ideal place to live.

In the study, the storage cabinets, work area, sofa and carpet are arranged in a harmonious order of elevation, in a harmonious tone of black, white and wood.

The on-site carpenters skillfully used birch boards to create a long table that could accommodate two people working at the same time, preserving the natural color and texture of birch.

A set of recessed suspended cabinets against the wall, with louvered lacquered doors and elongated black air outlets for powerful storage and clever concealment of trivial items.

In order to avoid the feeling of oppression caused by enclosed spaces, the kitchen space is completely open, defined by top beams and floor tiles.

The husband-oriented kitchen creates a comfortable "viewing table" for the wife, allowing her to appreciate her husband's demeanor while cooking in the kitchen.

Slender tables and chairs with low-hanging pine cone chandeliers create a small and sophisticated dining room that can be enjoyed from a sumptuous meal to a light tea.

When adding a booth, leave room under the seat to ensure a more comfortable seat. The black sideboard is understated, but it features a full slate countertop and metal cavern storage.

The kitchen space emphasizes unity through tiles, and the partial drop ceiling divides the kitchen and dining room.

The designer used a U-shaped layout to optimize the kitchen, so that the "pick-wash-prepare-fry-serve" was completed smoothly, and the refrigerator, oven and other household appliances were neatly embedded in the black cabinet.

The spatial relationship behind the kitchen has been reinterpreted, the arched structure integrates the scattered spaces, and the toilet and washstand are cleverly blocked by the booths, making the restaurant more stable at the intersection of circulation lines.

Bedroom design

In the bedroom, there is only a bed, table and chairs, and built-in storage cabinets, and large window sills bring in the sunshine.

Unlike the common areas, the bedrooms are dominated by rich colors, creating two different style experiences in the home.

The owner loves green, using latex paint and upholstery to create an entire wall of moss green, with green curtains and bedding to create a fresh forest-like bedroom.

The white spherical bedside wall lamp brings a bright hue to the space, avoiding the oppressive feeling of a single dark hue.

The wall of the secondary bedroom is moved and embedded in the large cabinet to meet the storage needs of a large number of clothes. Behind the door, there is the red bathroom in the master bedroom, which will also give a warm feeling during the cold winter months.

There are air vents at the top of the bathroom, which is also full of warmth during the cold winter months. The alcove in the bathtub provides storage space that is in harmony with the terrazzo and red walls.

The combination of black and gold enhances the texture of the space, and the red reflected part of the mirror cabinet allows the color to fill every inch of space through the refraction of light.

As for the expectations of a new home, the couple mentioned: "Be comfortable, romantic, and cozy". The designer has cleverly created two styles in the home to meet the different needs of homeowners who want to be open and comfortable, romantic and artistic.

This beautiful home, really loved it!
