In the workplace, no matter how good the relationship is, colleagues are never friends!

After more than ten years of experience in this workplace, I have already appreciated the mysteries of human sophistication.

The most profound lesson is that colleagues are never friends.

Especially when it comes to intimate topics, be careful not to treat your colleagues as confidants to confide in and share secrets.

I still remember when I first started my career, I trusted everyone around me, thinking that like-minded people should help each other.

In particular, my colleague named Xu Qing asked me to let my guard down and talk about everything in my daily lunch.

He seemed to have become a bosom friend I could rely on.

However, one day, after I decided to apply for the provincial exam, I excitedly revealed my plan to Xu Qing and asked him to provide relevant information.

I thought I would get full support, but the next day my exam plan spread all over the office.

Only then did I understand the first rule:Don't be quick to share important plans with your colleagues, even if you treat them like close friends.

Then he was careless again, planning to leave the unit to seek a broader development space, and after informing Xu Qing of this intention, he expressed his understanding and relayed it to the supervisor.

What shocked me was that my resume immediately spread throughout the office, and I was immediately asked by the supervisor ** about the reason, and it turned out that Xu Qing directly informed the leader of my resignation attempt.

From now on, recognize the second lesson:Any view of the work arrangement needs to be kept confidential; Even if you ask sincerely, you must keep your mouth shut.

When I was transferred to a new department, I vowed to abandon my past childish behaviour and keep my distance from my colleagues, but I fell back into the trap.

The department head assigned a private task that needs to be completed overtime, and although it is not public information, it still divulges the truth to his colleague boss.

The next day, the news was circulating, and the third lesson was learned:Don't talk nonsense about leadership style; Don't make rash judgments even if it's a reasonable suggestion.

Later, I was proud of the ** configuration of the new car, and I couldn't help but boast with my partners; It didn't take long to discover that the evasive attitude was frequent.

Fang suddenly Lesson 4:In the end, the bottom line of money cannot be revealed; In addition to joy, it is necessary to refrain from speaking.

The experience summed up the true meaning of "colleagues are just colleagues", which will always be remembered in my heart:

Silence on sensitive issues such as exam preparation, resignation assumptions, management arrangements, job reviews, and property status;

I was so naïve to treat my colleagues as confidants to whom I could confide, and I only ended up bringing disaster to myself.

Especially on sensitive issues such as examination plans, resignation plans, leadership arrangements, work discussions, and financial situation, we must not confide the truth to our colleagues.

Even if you think he can believe it, it's often not.

Keep your distance and be vigilant, and never forget that a colleague is just a colleague and that he is always on the side of the interests of the unit, not yours.

I don't need to be sad about this system either. Understanding the difference between a colleague and a friend, I can focus more on my work instead of spending time dealing with so-called "friendships".

I advise all newcomers entering this system to keep in mind:

Don't treat your coworkers like friends who can share everything. Keep your distance and avoid unnecessary trouble, this is the choice of smart people.

Thinking back to my naïve mistake, I can't help but laugh at my own stupidity.

But it was these lessons that made me completely understand the difference between colleagues and friends in terms of human feelings.

Remember, pessimistic what? It's smart to keep your distance. When you get used to that, travel light.
