On January 28, the author learned from the Southwest Exploration Area of Oriental Geophysical Exploration that the project of "Data Reprocessing and Interpretation of Well Area 209 in Yuxi Block" undertaken by the Southwest Geophysical Exploration Research Institute of the Research Institute passed the acceptance of Chongqing Shale Gas Company. This indicates that the Southwest Institute of Geophysical Exploration has innovatively used high-precision speed modeling technology, which has greatly improved the imaging quality of data in the "double complex" area of western Chongqing.
The Zu 209 well area is located in the "double complex" area in western Chongqing, and with the gradual extension of shale gas to the complex area, this area has become an important area for increasing reserves and production. However, due to the low signal-to-noise ratio of the data and the insufficient imaging accuracy, it is impossible to accurately determine the direction of the target and the difficulty of setting the well, which hinders the rapid exploration and development of the area to a certain extent. Chongqing Shale Gas Company listed the reprocessing of the three-dimensional old data of Well 209 as a key geophysical exploration project, and handed it over to the Southwest Geophysical Research Institute for research.
In order to achieve a breakthrough in the development of shale gas in the "double complex" area of western Chongqing, the Southwest Institute of Geophysical Exploration focused on the core needs of exploration and development, and took the technical difficulties affecting the high-precision imaging of the area as the direction of tackling key problems, and proposed the optimization technology of the whole anisotropic angular domain ray focusing method model for the first time in the industry and popularized its application, which solved the problem of false faults near Well 209, accurately depicted the change of Silurian thickness, greatly improved the imaging quality of the Libixia structure, and finely displayed the structure and target morphology of the area. The high-quality results of the project have strongly supported the efficient construction and production of the Southwest Oil and Gas Field.
