Paul Pierce (Paul Anthony Pierce), born on October 13, 1977 in Oakland, California, USA, is a former American professional basketball player who plays as a small forward and power forward, nicknamed "The Truth". He was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 10th pick in the first round of the 1998 NBA Draft and is one of the preeminent players in NBA history.
