The Korean Football Association announced Klinsmann's dismissal! Liquidated damages of up to 8 billion won!

The Korean Football League officially announced the decision to fire coach Jurgen Klinsmann on February 16, Beijing time. According to an earlier report by South Korea, South Korea will compensate Klinsmann with 8 billion won (about 5.5 million yuan).

Klinsmann, 59, became the head coach of the South Korean national team in March 2023. Since taking charge, he has led the team to 17 appearances, with a record of 9 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats. In the last Asian Championship, South Korea lost 0-2 to Jordan.

Klinsmann began his coaching career in Germany and took over the reins from Worrall after Euro 2004. In the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Klinsmann led the in-form Germany to a third-place finish.

In the summer of 2008, Klinsmann became Bayern Munich manager as a professional footballer. Klinsmann was sacked less than a year into charge after failing to win the Champions League and the German Cup.

In November 2011, Klinsmann became the head coach of the U.S. national team, where he held a position for five and a half years before resigning in November 2016. Since then, Klinsmann has spent part of the 2019-2020 season at Hertha Berlin.
