New Year's goods are not closed
The OnePlus 12 can deliver a frame rate of 120 frames per second for all Android games, improving the gamer's experience and living up to its "unbelievably smooth" title.
A key feature of OnePlus 12 is the new Trinity engine, which incorporates a range of software enhancements in Oxygen OS 14 and affects the device's CPU, RAM, and storage to optimize performance.
Combined with the new hardware developed by Pixelworks for a dedicated X7 discrete visual processor, it offers a feature called "Super Rendering". OnePlus says it uses internal graphics algorithms in conjunction with a standalone visual processor to provide an upscaling of low-resolution graphics and uses frame interpolation techniques to increase frame rates.
The frame interpolation feature is similar to TV motion smoothing, by adding new frames between the original frames, making the motion look smoother and increasing the frame rate to 120 fps. This can be a valuable tool, as most Android games still only support 60 frames per second, with a relatively small number of games that support higher frame rates.
These high frame rates make action games like first-person shooters and racing games appear more fluid and immersive.
Some of the games that currently support 120FPS include Call of Duty: Mobile, Eternium, and Shadowgun Legends. However, as one of the most demanding Android games, Genshin Impact doesn't currently support frame rates higher than 60 fps, which means that OnePlus 12 users may be able to play at silky smooth 120 fps** if the phone can handle it.
Higher frame rates are usually more demanding on the device, but thankfully, the OnePlus 12 comes with some very high-performance hardware.
It uses the latest flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, which is supported by the Trinity Engine and should determine the best balance between enhancing performance and reducing power consumption to adapt to different scenarios.
The system intelligently allocates smartphone resources to provide enhanced performance and even extend battery life. This is supported by AI learning for intelligent performance management, which is designed to deliver consistent and stable frame rates.
However, games with demanding settings like this one require fear of overheating and battery drain, and OnePlus also claims to have hardware solutions for these issues.
The OnePlus features the largest vapor chamber cooling system ever built, which effectively dissipates heat and prevents hardware throttling performance.
It also saves power by upscaling games from lower graphics quality to native resolution with low-power gaming super resolution, and comes with a 5,400mAh battery and 100W fast charging. OnePlus 12 is a great way to enjoy a fast refresh rate on your phone and is one of the best options for mobile gamers.
