Yang Jie, born in July 1962, is an outstanding figure in China's communications field, widely praised in the industry for his outstanding leadership skills and rich work experience. Yang Jie started his career in August 1984 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1993.
Yang Jie graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 1984, majoring in radio engineering, which laid a solid theoretical foundation for his future development in the field of communications. Later, in 2008, he obtained a doctorate in business administration from Rennes Business School in France, demonstrating his profound accomplishments in the field of business management.
He began his career with the Shanxi Provincial Post and Telecommunications Administration, and later rose to prominence as the General Manager of the Shanxi Provincial Telecom Company. He also served as the vice president of the Beijing Research Institute of China Telecom Corporation and the general manager of the North Telecom Division of China Telecom, through which he demonstrated his outstanding ability in the telecommunications industry.
In May 2004, Yang Jie was promoted to Deputy General Manager of China Telecom Group and became one of the company's senior leaders. As his career progressed, he was appointed General Manager of China Telecom Corporation in November 2011, further deepening his influence in the communications industry.
In April 2012, Yang Jie became a director of China Telecom Corporation, and in December 2015, he not only continued to serve as a director of the company, but also acted as chairman and chief executive officer. In April 2016, he became the Party Secretary and Chairman of China Telecom Corporation, becoming a core figure in the company's leadership.
In March 2019, Yang Jie moved to China Mobile Communications Group as Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Chairman of the Board, and Executive Director. Under his leadership, China Mobile continues to make significant progress in the communications industry.
