ADATA, a major module manufacturer, announced that its January performance increased by more than 10% month-on-month.
Chairman Chen Libai is optimistic that DRAM and NAND Flash** will rise clearly in the first half of this year, and customers' willingness to stock up will continue to rise, which will promote its operation to maintain growth in the first half of the year.
ADATA consolidated revenue in January was 356.5 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 133%, an annual increase of 637%。
Chen Libai continues to be optimistic about the positive development of the storage industry, optimistic that AI chips will be increased quarter by quarter in the second half of the year, and the demand for storage will also increase quarter by quarter with AI applications.
In terms of DRAM, due to the increase in the first level and the return of inventory to the normal water level, although the upstream ** business is gradually recovering capacity utilization, under the consideration of profit and future application demand, it is expected that the upstream DRAM capacity allocation will be dominated by high gross margin products such as HBM and DDR5, which will not have a significant impact on the industry trend and the first trend in the short term.
On the other hand, the supply side of NAND Flash still maintains the strategy of reducing production and limited shipments, and it can be seen that the first half of the year is rising quarter by quarter, and the upstream of NAND Flash will also end its 2-year consecutive losses in the second half of the year, officially entering the situation of turning losses into profits.
Overall, the supply and demand sides of the storage industry are still quite healthy, and this year will be a year of steady and bullish trends in the storage market industry.
Benefiting from the recovery of customer orders, ADATA's revenue of all products in January increased compared with December 2023, and the revenue of NAND Flash-related products, including SSDs, memory cards and USB flash drives, increased by nearly 2% month-on-month.
DRAM products accounted for 44% of the overall revenue in a single month, SSDs accounted for 30%, and memory cards, USB flash drives and other products accounted for 26%.
