In recent years, Zhuhai and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin have been actively building a "new highland" for the innovation and development of postdoctoral talents, focusing on the development of leading industries and emerging strategic industries, and forming a distinctive mechanism for the introduction and cultivation of postdoctoral talents. Up to now, Zhuhai has set up a total of 175 postdoctoral research and innovation platforms, nearly 6,000 postdoctoral talents are active in various industrial fields in Zhuhai, the total number of talents in the city has reached 900,000, and the net inflow rate of talents has exceeded 6%, ranking among the top in the province. At present, the postdoctoral research workstation of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin has set up 5 workstations, 19 sub-stations and 12 innovation practice bases, and has achieved a total of 363 scientific research achievements, 241 scientific research articles, and 23 authorized patents, with remarkable results.
